It eas a clean room but in need of updates. It was like it was when I was here in the ‘70s. The best thing was it was quiet & the mattresses were good, but they need new pillows!

Area is pretty. Facility is old. Was ok for the prices in the area. No amenities. Note in room says coffee and breakfast in lobby but lobby does not open till Saturday at 10am. Need to update the notices posted in room.

I'm amazed Expedia allows this property to be listed on their page. Our basement room was musty beyond acceptable, cracks in walls, bathroom door wouldnt close, no washcloths, and worst of all the desk clerk was completely surprised by our arrival. She said they were full, but there were 6 cars in the lot for a 30 room facility. It was beyond creepy and i paid $200.00. Unacceptable.

I have staid in different motels and really didn't expect much from this one because other motels were musty smelling and just didn't feel clean. At the Allyndale I was so surprised and pleased. It smelled very clean and fresh, the beds were very comfortable, bathroom was very clean and the towels were soft and fluffy. The room was very spacious with a good sized fridge and not little like the other hotels. It even had a nice round table where you can eat. Oh yes, and it also had a microwave. Overall We were very very happy with our stay and would stay again in a heart beat. Great job Allyndale. I wasn't paid to write this. This is from my own honest experience.

The water that came out of the tap was yellow. The carpet was from the 1950s and very worn. The shower did not work. The air conditioning did not work. There were no amenities.

The carpet was filthy. The doors look awful. Did not use shower-the light fixture above was gross.

The rooms were in poor condition. The carpets were soiled and stinky. The air conditioner filters were horrible. My wife pulled the sheets back, they were yellowish. WE DID NOT STAY.

The property was locked when we arrived at 10.30 pm Even after calling them, no one picked up phone. We were stranded and had no accommodation for night. I called Expedia for the help. Expedia service person Aldo’s couldn’t reach the property owner.

Carpets were stained, as well as the chairs. One of the chairs the wooden legs were bent. Toilet leaked at handle. Black mold on ceiling of shower. Bed was comfortable. Bedding old, one of the little pillows were yellow stained. The place wasn't dusty. Bathroom clean. Way too much $ for the quality

This was probably the worst motel room I’ve ever stayed in. Smelled bad, looked bad, it was bad. Way overpriced. No idea who would rate this place as exceptional or why, because it’s definitely the opposite. Description says it was built in 1990. It’s more like 1960 with all original disgusting carpet and bathroom.

Since we did not have what the manager termed a “normal” time frame for our stay I feel we were given the worst room. The carpet crunched when you walked on it. Did not walk on it without shoes on.
2-night trip

2/10

Mini fridge didn't work. In room coffee was horrible. Shower was moldy tilesnd difficult to get into because of mini size of bathroom. Bedd was old, saggy and very uncomfortable. Room was musty and super tiny. No one was around when we tried to checkout.

The stay and the motel were very good. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. What was bad was that you (Expedia) did NOT have my paid reservation submitted to the motel. All you gave him was my name…so essentially, I did NOT have a reservation (and the extra paid insurance for the reservation) with the motel. So now I have been charged twice on my credit card 557.67. Once from you on 5/17/23 and the motel charging me (since they did NOT have my reservation from you).
3-night trip

4/10

First, desk clerk was new and didn't know where the room was. It took 3 tries and a call to the owner to find room 3. Older motel so we weren't expecting much. However, in 90 degree heat, it would have been nice to have an air conditioner that actually made the room cool. TV remote partially changed channels, but no volume control. Safe neighborhood. Quiet. Hidden up a hill with poor signage during the day. We drove right by it the first try. Bed was comfortable.

It was easy to park. First room I was in was very run down and dingy (sticky stains on carpet and sticky something on table, a few pills on the floor in the bathroom, hair in sink, mold on ac window unit, hole in bathroom door, pieces of door frame splitting away, and a very strong odor of smoke that persisted after attempt to air the room out with all windows and doors open (I was told all rooms are non smoking but people either side of this room were there long term and smoked. Also, no Wi-Fi (an issue for a meeting I had that evening). Told it was “down because of weather” (no rain, storms, wind that day so maybe another day?) and could not be fixed until the owner arranged that (who was unavailable) The young lady at the desk (Juliana) was sympathetic but shared there was nothing she could do. I asked if I could speak to manager, told not available, could not be reached. I called Expedia to let them know the state of the motel room and that I felt it was not “as advertised” (certainly not the photo and a motel that is “basic” is fine by me but not dirty and smelly!). A gentleman from Expedia spoke with the front desk lady and THEN I was offered another room. It was damp, smelled of mold (there was a humidifier that didn’t do much) but at least cleaner. Unfortunately was below someone who chose to watch very loud TV programs until after 2:53 am (the last time I looked at my watch before giving up on sleep)…no answer at the door to request turning volume down

Extremely outdated, has not been properly maintained in years. Needs to be demolished for health hazards. 1/4 of the price would have been too much.
