Below expectations stay
Our stay at the Radisson just fell short of expectations, for a few reasons.
The first is communication - it was challenging to have productive conversations with the front desk team due to the language barrier, which I wouldn't have expected at a big international hotel. When we arrived before the official check-in time and asked how long it would be for our room to be ready, the team couldn't really understand the question and so we waited for about 40 mins before giving up and going into town to get something to eat.
The second was the breakfast - it's not to the standard I've found at other Radissons, and on our first day we had to move tables due to the volume of flies (not great!). Again communication challenges existed here too.
And the third is the fitness centre - it's a very small room with too much outdated and in some cases broken equipment. One treadmill fully broken, the other with a flashing screen every time my foot would hit the tread. Each morning I'd go early and have to switch equipment on at the mains, switch the air con on, turn on lights etc. Not what I'd anticipate from a 24/7 gym.
All in all, room for improvement.
