Overall this place is a pleasant place to stay with lots of benefits. The biggest benefit is having VIP access to the funicular. Rooms were kept tidy daily and staff was friendly. Location is perfect, with lots of places nearby to see and dine in.
Armando, 6-night trip

6/10 Okay

Beautiful hotel and area. My only concern is I paid for the room with the hot tub and the water didnโ€™t come out. I kept telling the clerk if they could help with this. The clerk said thatโ€™s how it is and itโ€™ll come out eventually. It never came out, itโ€™s not worth paying extra for the room with the hot tub.

Good place to stay in Guanajuato

Good hotel at TOP of Funicular. A bit hard to find if arriving by car. Parking is the Monumento de Pipila parking - quite inexpensive. If you like staying out later than 9pm, then get ready to walk up the funicular (not an issue for us). Bring earplugs as hotel is in a public area and can be somewhat noisy.
Michael, 2-night trip

Very nice clean rooms but so worth it with the beautiful view!
Kathleen, 3-night trip

Great views. Noise from town could be heard despite distance. Funicular passes made the location work well for us. Carrying luggage up 3 flights to get early Uber before staf arrived was toug.

It was an incredible experience!! I would definitely stay again. Love the Funicular availability to guest, fast and friendly check-in and staff.

As this hotel located nearby pipila, from the balcony views are awesome. Also easy to access the reception. I really enjoyed staying balcony all day long.
YUKA, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

It is in a spectacular location with a great view. The downtown area is only a short train/tram ride away which you get unlimited rides on for staying at the hotel. The staff were all very nice.
Stephanie, 2-night trip

The views from this hotel are amazing! Enjoyed the free access to the funicular. The hotel is super close to el Pipila monument.

Significant Noise

we had Significant Noise at night until 3am due to something event at Pipila hill. we couldnโ€™t sleep. since pass for cable car was very useful and valuable, I was disappointed about the noise.

This property is located up the hill so ensure you plan your day around the schedule of the funicular (trolley thing that transports you from the central area up to the hotel, which is next door to Monumento Al Pipila). The hotel does give you a complementary pass so you get priority and unlimited trips. We didn't find this to be an issue. We did have to take the callejones (side streets with stairs) up to the hotel in the evening. We never had an issue but it could be a risky area at night, even though there are cameras and lighting. Another minor thing is that we did have to wait to get into the hotel a couple evenings as there was no one at the desk and they locked the front door. Within 15 minutes someone did eventually come. The room was large, clean, and more quiet as you were a distance from the downtown area. The views from the room were amazing, as you could see the beautiful colours of Guanajuato!
Jesus, 3-night trip

10/10 Excellent

The room i had only had view of half the city..and it was not the half that could see downtown
gabriel, 1-night trip

10/10 Excellent

Perfect view of Guanajuato City! Just go up some stairs and youโ€™re at the Pipila monument where you can also find food stands, souvenir stands, etc. Perfect when youโ€™re craving a night snack. I believe the latest theyโ€™re there is 10p. With your stay at this hotel, you get unlimited rides on the Funiclar. They also have coffee at your disposal anytime at the lobby.
Diana, 7-night trip

6/10 Okay

Great location. Balcony/terrace great for enjoying good coffee/wine. Staff was attentive, friendly, but there was not hot water on demand. Eco-goal using solar water heaters is not for hospitality applications; during our stay; hot water was available only between 10:30 hrs to 17:00 hrs ( 5 pm). Few amenities can make up for the lack of hot water on demand.
Francisco, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

Staff is friendly, location is great with low city noise, access is a challenge, avoid breakfast. The location is great if you want to stay away from the noise of the people and activities going on in the city and still be very close to everything. The downside is the access to the hotel, if you come from the city's downtown (which will be the case most of the time), you have to use the funicular (cable car), the hotel will give you priority passes which will help you avoid the lane. But, beware, it closes at 9:40pm and 8:40 in the weekends, so you'll have to walk your way up, and is a steep climb with very dark and lonely alleys. So if you plan to visit town at night, you'll have to Uber or climb. The easiest access for your transport to the airport will be up, at Pipila's monument, and that's another set of stairs to climb, and no bellboy, at least none available when we requested help. So be ready to climb 4 sets of stair carrying luggage. If you get to the lobby after 2pm and want coffee, you'll only find cold coffee, not one day during our 7 nights was there hot coffee available. We requested 2 extra towels on day one, and had to remind front desk until we got them at the third day. We ran out of cable TV for a couple of days and no one knew why or how to fix it, it just came back couple days later. We opted for breakfast included, and is not bad, but don't expect variaty, the same every day, chilaquiles with some protein, sweet bread and juice and cofee.

4/10 Poor

Amazing view. You can see the whole Guanajuato city and thanks to the funicular, easy access from the centro. However, we were very upset with the poor service. First, we wanted to ask the easiest way to the hotel from the autobus terminal but they didnโ€™t answer the phone. And when we arrived, there was no elevator so if youโ€™re traveling with heavy luggage, I strongly discourage you staying here. Also, we reserved a double room with balcony view (the main reason for staying at this hotel) but they gave us a double room with no terrace. When we said there mustโ€™ve been a mistake, they said only single rooms have balconies. So we showed our reservation, then they suddenly said itโ€™s possible from our second night without any apologies. We were very frustrated and after few minutes they eventually showed us a double room with balcony. Apparently they lied to us several times which is unacceptable. Also, we told the front desk โ€˜do not disturbโ€™ but they kept coming into our room to clean the bathroom. Lastly, room number 1 is right next to the funicular, so itโ€™s very noisy.
