"A very pleasant hotel, with a lovely room and helpful staff. Room was serviced promptly. The hotel room suffered from a fair level of noise during the evening and night from other customers, and including a dog barking from somewhere in the close vicinity of the room. The tea/coffee/milk supplies were not replenished meaning a visit to reception to ask for additional items. Complimentary water in the reception area was only available at certain times of the day. Didn’t utilise the breakfast offering."

"A serviced apartment located 5 minutes from train station and directly across from green open space. Within easy walking of all old town sites, the river and Guggenheim. Very comfortable and well equipped with quality fixtures and furniture. Beautiful floor to ceiling balcony doors leading to a small balcony. Easy and reasonably priced laundry facilities on site. Well priced and good value for money. Highly recommend."

Occidental Bilbao

8/10 Good
"The hotel is in good overall condition, and the service at the restaurant during dinner was superb. I would especially like to recognize the red-haired lady who worked on the evening of Monday, 09/28/26. She was absolutely wonderful and provided excellent service. I hope the manager can share our comments and appreciation with her (guests from Miami). The hotel’s location is something to consider. I would not recommend it for guests who want to be in the center or within walking distance of the Old Town, as the main attractions are not easily accessible on foot. However, if you are comfortable using Uber, the location is not a major issue. The housekeeping service was excellent. My only suggestion would be to give the bathroom shower a more thorough deep cleaning. The breakfast is expensive, there are many other places at the old town with excellent selection, and cheaper. Overall, this is a good hotel choice as long as you take into consideration that the main attractions and Old Town are not within walking distance."
