A tired hotel desperately in need of an upgrade
Our experience didn't start particularly well. Check in was supposed to be after 3pm. We arrived well after that but had to wait about half an hour or more to check in, around 4.40pm. When we got to our room it was set up as a double; I had asked on booking for a twin. The hotel were luckily able to move us to a room with twin beds. The room was OK but way smaller and less nicely decorated than the photos show. It was very scruff and seemed grubby from years of use, desperately in need of a major upgrade. The hotel also had work going on to waterproof a large outdoor terrace 3 floors below; the noise woke us up each morning. I was disappointed and won't be going back.

Great stay in Paris!
We were given a very quiet, spacious room overlooking a courtyard in the middle of Paris! There was a transit station very close by, an amazing street market and a neighborhood loaded with nice restaurants and shops. Receptionist was warm, friendly and helpful!

Second time I've been. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean and nice and in a great location in the Marais and central to pretty much everything in Paris and with great metro options nearby, staff are very friendly, rooms have decent little kitchens – which can be a lifesaver in Paris where the restaurant food is generally poor and overpriced unless you really know what you're doing, have made reservations and are willing to spend $$$$ – better to get great cheeses, wines, jams, baguettes etc and eat breakfast, lunch and/or dinner in the hotel. Only complain was that the elevators were broken-ish for the better part of the week making it a bit slow getting in and out of the room. Would definitely stay again.

The staff was incredibly helpful in getting us a cab on a couple of occasions. The breakfast was lacking in variety so we only took part one morning. There was a regular noise that sounded like someone moving chairs beside or above our room. The studio my college roomie and I had for 8 days was PERFECT. It was spacious with a large bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and coffee and tea in the lovely lobby. The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. The area was so convenient and you could get anywhere with the very close metro stops. Not too bad
Overall the place is not bad, and the location is very convenient. The apartment is nice and big, but a bit old. They don’t clean everyday, so eventually the apartment gets dirty if you’re staying for a few days. We asked for housekeeping several times for them to eventually send someone, and they only changed the bedsheets, not even cleaned the room. Staff were friendly and helpful overall.
