Very disappointing stay
Negatives:
Although the posted check in time is 4 pm and I assume mgmt knew how many check ins were scheduled that day, there was a line going out the front desk area and into the bar with only ONE staff person to check in guests!! Why weren’t there more staff scheduled?? Apparently the same problem occurred several days preceding our check in day according to other guests.
We specifically asked for a very QUIET room as we are very light sleepers. Normally we try to get the top floor. We were assigned a room on the 3 rd floor as no top floor rooms were available according to the desk clerk although we had made our request clear at 12:30 when we arrived and requested early check in, which we didn’t get. The room directly above us sounded like elephants were staying there. We heard the sound of footsteps running back and forth across the room and thuds that sounded like kids were jumping off of the furniture starting at 6 am and not ending until 11 pm or so. Maybe you should consider not placing families with young kids in 4th floor rooms.
The second day of our stay we had to request a room “refresh” at about 3 pm as it hadn’t been done before that. When we returned an hour or so later the bed was made, dirty towels were removed, but inadequate number of towels remained: 1 bath towel, no bath mat, 2 hand towels and 3 wash cloths. Generally hotels have 4 of each and 1 bath mat for two guests in my experience.
Positives: Front desk staff were extremely warm and welcoming
