OK - first, the good. This hotel is in a great location! It is very close to the Air Force Academy, and surrounded by great restaurants. It is also across the street from a little park that has workout stations and a walking path (with dog bags/waste basket). They also take dogs - which is a big plus.
Now, the bad. You pay a lot for very little. The hotel does not have staff at night, so if you need help you have to call after a certain time. You also get no toiletries in your room, there is no breakfast, there is no ice, and the wifi was even down when I was there (apparently some update was happening). The room has a full kitchen, which is nice; but there is nothing in the kitchen as far as utensils, plates, dish soap, or even paper towels. You have to go down and ask for that - which is a problem if you need it when there's no staff. Also, since there is no ice, you must make ice - and the only place for filtered water is the exercise area. So if you want filtered ice, you have to take ice trays (from the freezer in your room, and go get it there). Also, you can get coffee in the lobby; but it's from a machine that automatically dispenses - not a coffee pot (so who knows the quality of that coffee). All in all, the other hotels in the area are comparable in price and you get all the amenities - so make your decision accordingly. Hopefully, they will lower their prices to reflect the differences in quality.
