Positives: Excellent location, parking, wi-fi, air conditioning, friendly and helpful reception staff. restaurant, breakfast.
Negatives:
Bedside lamp - not working, reported but no response, we had to fix this.
Shower rail - broken and unusable.
Coffee making facilities not replenished on a number of occasions, never any milk provided.
Toiletries - don’t expect shampoo, conditioner or tissues.
Guest information - room lacks any hotel or local amenity information.
Some housekeeping staff appeared unmotivated and miserable.
Breakfast - hot food ran on out on the Sunday, many guests were unhappy with the unavailability of the usual hot food selection. There appeared to be insufficient resources to cater for the number of guests taking breakfast on this day.
The young man on reception was very helpful and did his best to help, it did seem however that they had no authority to get anything done. We could not recommend this hotel to our friends and family. It is clearly a business hotel that appears to lack general management and is happy with below average standards that we have come to expect from other EU countries.
It maybe that the hotel owners are satisfied with current performance, it seemed to us however that effective general management and a fresh attitude is needed to engage staff to provide a better guest experience.
