Great location!!

Wish we have planned to stay an extra night. Location is wonderful, right between the JR Rail Station and the historic preservation section. Loved having tatami mats and a view of the temple. Great roof top view, fabulous for sunset views. Wish the bar stayed open more.

Enjoyable stay.

Lovely hotel with exceedingly friendly helpful staff and a rooftop bar with lovely views. Our kettle in the room was faulty, but five minutes after informing them they brought us a new one. Stairs are a bit steep and no lift, but not a problem for us.

Very very central location in Takayama with big rooms! We stayed here for one night only but were very happy that we did as it was a lovely central location right across form Takayama Jinjya (museum) and short walking distance to the Old Town. Room was spacious and in nice condition and clean. Stairs are a bit steep so if you struggle with that it might be worth to at least request a room on a low floor. Only thing with the hotel was that as there's no staff on site (you will contact them through a tablet which does work fine though!), so we did not dare to try to send our luggage forward to the hotel, unfortunately which was a bit impractical. But apart from that one thing we have nothing to say against this hotel and would stay again! :)

It was close to lots of tourist places, not too far from train/bus station. Check in was virtual. The staircase is steep. Bed & pillow cases. The bath towel was tiny, almost like a big hand towel but that was only downside. I was able to do washing which was great, you just buy detergent for 100 yen, washing facilities free. Would stay again.

Alojamiento tipo Juan Palomo. Check-in a través de videollamada, no vimos a ninguna persona del "hotel" durante la estancia. No tiene ascensor y las escaleras son regulines, más bien incomodas. La habitación estilo japonés con futones en suelo. Dimensiones correctas. Hay anunciado un "rooftop bar" en la azotea, pero la verdad nunca lo vimos abierto. La azotea en sí, es una terracita de unos 10 m2 siendo generosos. Lo mejor es sin duda la ubicación, al lado de todas las zonas turísticas a visitar y justo enfrente del Takayama Jinya.
