Batu Bolong
Batu Bolong blends beachside bliss with bohemian energy at Bali's hippest coastal hangout. Surfers ride waves at the namesake beach while digital nomads tap away in stylish cafes. The ancient temple perched on rocky cliffs offers a cultural counterpoint to trendy beach clubs where sunset-chasers gather daily. Yoga sessions between rice paddies remind you this isn't just any beach town. Finding your perfect spot is easy with options from $3 warung meals to farm-to-table dining. Scooter rentals are the transport of choice, though the core area works for walking despite uneven paths. Accommodation range from surf hostels to luxury villas, many featuring pools and co-working spaces.

Ride the legendary waves at Echo Beach, where surfers of all levels catch breaks against a backdrop of volcanic sand. Digital nomads tap away at laptops in bamboo-built cafes serving acai bowls and flat whites with equal reverence. Rice paddies still stubbornly persist between yoga studios and beach clubs where sunset sessions blend into night with international DJs. Batu Bolong Beach offers gentler surf for beginners before rewarding efforts with beachfront tacos. The once-sleepy village now pulses with an international crowd seeking the perfect balance of wellness and nightlife. Berawa Beach's black sand provides dramatic contrast to colourful beach umbrellas, while nearby Tanah Lot temple sits majestically offshore, proving that sacred and social can coexist beautifully.

Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu by IHG
"Absolutely greats Yoman kept our room so neat, we were greeted so warmly from day 1, I’m definitely coming back here. So secure love it"
La Mewali Resort Canggu by Ini Vie Hospitality
"Very good stay"
ZIN Canggu Resort & Villas
"The room was large and spacious and housekeeping great but the staircase up to room was pretty rickety and no lift access. Some of the pool areas and common areas were a bit grimy and sewage smell by the garden pool. The sundeck pool was the nicest. It was well located on canguu but I wouldn’t rebook."
Regent Bali Canggu
"Everything about the stay was perfect. This it what it means to be 5 star!"
COMO Uma Canggu
"My stay was pleasant, the gym and amenities were great and breakfast was lovely. However service on the 1st day wasn’t great (slow, got my drink order wrong then slow to bring another, ordered food, but it never arrived), but the other days it was good. All staff I encountered were polite, smiley and warm which is great. The room needs some love however, there was a slight smell of damp (I think it’s from the fabric headboard) which was off-putting and small things were needed, like the bathroom needs a deep clean and regrouting. I also had no hot water for the first two days. I would say again, but hope there’s more focus on maintenance in the rooms."
Papillon Echo Beach
"The staff were friendly helpful the hotel is quiet considering it’s opposite a pub. The rooms were big and clean, there were afew large ants in bathroom every night and even in the toilet. The pool was Not big but enough to keep u cool the decking was very rough ave breaking on the ends and sharp, this definitely needs to be redone . There is no toiletries not even soap to wash hands which is a necessity since Covid should be washing your hands lucky I bought my own dettol soap. The room is very light at night which makes it hard to sleep there was no light switch in room to turn off outside light had to keep ringing for them to turn off. Aside from that I thought the hotel was ok and sufficient for afew days."
Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu
"Excellent hotel in Canggu."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Canggu
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Canggu is during February, March, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a truly enriching experience, it’s advisable to stay for at least 4 to 5 days to fully appreciate the region's key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural wonders. You can enjoy activities such as surfing on the stunning sands of Black Beach and Sand Beach, unwinding with yoga sessions at sunset, exploring local temples, and indulging in spa treatments. Horseback riding along the coastline also adds to the charm of this budget-friendly destination, ensuring great value for money while you soak in the vibrant culture and breathtaking scenery.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover enticing last-minute deals for hotels in Canggu, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find reduced rates as your travel date approaches. To maximise your savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you'll be among the first to know, positioning you well for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Canggu hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you potentially find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, due to Canggu's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
