All the little extras from s’mores to coffee to a comfortable bed made the stay that much nicer! We plan on doing it again next year and extending our stay more than 2 nights. The getaway cabins are now a preference in comparison to regular hotel rooms. They were cozy & it was a nice getaway from the regular routine. I recommend anyone to give the cabins a try they are amazing

I really wanted to give this 5 stars, better than that, I really wanted a little getaway to relax and recharge. This, unfortunately wasn't it. I waited for the text to check in and had to call a phone number after sending a text shortly after check in time.Upon arrival we noticed an off smell, and chalked it up to nature and the cabin being closed up, so we opened the windows and tried to air it out. It was raining and cold and I tried to ' get through it ' because now it's dark outside and we hunkered down for the night. I slept terrible. With the window closed it was bad. I messaged staff first thing in the morning, and they were very responsive. We had to vacate the cabin for a different one if we wanted to switch, which I asked for. New cabin was better, no bad smell but after the whole pick up and move again I was exhausted. We ended up cooking one meal outside over the fire, and we tried to make the best of it, but honestly this just wasn't it. These cabins seemed older and dated. (We've stayed at 3 other postcard locations) Floors were scuffed up in the first cabin, old plumbing, the heater wasn't exactly new and the mattress was much flatter. Not a really relaxing vibe for me here. Perhaps it was just an off visit? Or new staff? 😞
