This hotel would be just perfect as a “haunted house” murder mystery weekend. The hotel is in desperate need of restoration and a makeover. However, in saying this the bedding and towels provided were clean. The Perfect hotel if you’re partying to the early hours in the morning and just need somewhere to crash. I enjoyed my stay. I was desperately looking for a room within the beach distance ASAP. Reviews weren’t encouraging, but I got a clean room with a clean bathroom. Also very affordable. I had a good night rest. Staff were polite too. I recommend this place.

Dated room, not totally clean, fridge didn't seem to work, no sockets near bed, was ok for one night, anything longer i'd have gone shopping prob for cheap extension lead maybe so could have my mobile next to my bed, & possibly a fan as well. Received email in plenty of time with my check in codes, plus there was someone at reception also, stairs steep but there is a lift. Location is spot on, beach 30 seconds walk, town centre 5 minuites walk.

Cheap, central, should be better

Room was clean. But no mirrors, only one pillow each. Windows didnt fully shut, floors creaked and was uneven. Shower was broken and took a very long time to heat up. Recpetion area looked liked it has been tidied in years. It really needs a lick of paint and new carpet as first impression count for alot. The location is great but its near all the night clubs and bars so is noisy at night. If you can look beyond all that its cheap place to stay and is very central.

Late booking

We booked with Seaside Hotel last minute as our other choice had double booked. I had to phone the owner for access code, he came to meet us 10 minutes later with a key to room and code for front door. Really friendly staff, Decor very dated. Bed comfy. We did have a basic double, very well priced, great location. Shower over bath was cold. Steep steps up to bathroom, sloping ceiling which husband cut his head on.

Bates motel

The reception has no one there full of junk in the lobby,old dirty and smelly reminds me of bates motel (horror) i could not believe how bad it was just wanted to get up and go home, they provide a kettle but no cups/cutlery they have a shower but no hot water windows are so bad toilet seat dont fit so i paid for a bed basically i can definitely say i would never return, they need to knock the place down and re do it in my opionion, cant be charging these prices for a place like this i stayed at a different hotel night before much cheaper place and staff was so lovely clean tidy rooms and everything provided ,overall not happy

Mixed experience overall. The hotel is very dated, but the self-check-in process was straightforward and easy to follow using the provided access codes. The room and bedding were spotlessly clean, which was a definite positive. Unfortunately, there were some maintenance issues during my stay. The toilet was leaking, and there was no hot water, which was disappointing. If you’re booking expecting sea-front views and spa facilities, this probably isn’t the right hotel for you. However, if you’re simply looking for a cheap, clean place to sleep right on the seafront, it does the job.

Dear Staff, I was in Brighton for a 3- day Event with Peace Ambassador Prem Rawat, and the hotel was a 3- 5 minutes walk from the Brighton Centre. I was near the beach, and their where places nearby I could eat lunch or dinner. The drawback for me was there were also Pubs nearby, so the idea of a good nights rest was not feasible, as lots of loud yelling and partying continued into the wee hours of the morning. The room and bathroom were clean enough, but my personal opinion is the mattress needs to be replaced. When taking a shower the holder for the shower head needs to be replaced, as it was not functioning. Windows and blinds need to be attended to, so they function better. Again I was glad for the proximity to the Event, but the room needed some repair. With thanks, Paul
