Learn more about Mercer Island
Floating in Lake Washington, this affluent island offers a peaceful escape just minutes from Seattle's urban buzz. Kayak along the shoreline where waterfront mansions peek through towering evergreens. Luther Burbank Park provides sandy beaches and off-leash dog areas where four-legged locals socialise with more enthusiasm than their owners. Summer concerts fill Mercerdale Park with picnicking families sprawled across blankets. The community centre hosts everything from tennis matches to art exhibitions. Bicentennial Park's trails wind through native forests that somehow survived development. While the island itself feels like a retreat, the I-90 bridges make Pike Place Market and the Space Needle quick trips for when island tranquility needs a dash of city energy.

The Belltown Inn
"Staff was super friendly and helpful, clean beautiful room and excellent air conditioning!"
Coast Gateway Hotel
"The breakfast was good, staff was helpful and friendly."
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, WA
"I left my Kindle in the room. They found it and will mail it back, which is wonderful. But I am surprised at the cost. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience. Thank you."
Hotel Max
"We love this place when we travel with our dogs. All the staff are amazing and helpful. They love our dogs and treat them like family. The only thing annoying about this place is their elevator, it’s slow and small and they had one down when we were there. They were fixing it while we were there. We love this place and we just allocated extra time for the elevator, took the stairs when we didn’t have luggage, we stayed on the 8th floor. They also have free beer in the lobby every night. Super cool way to meet other travelers."
The Paramount Hotel
"I loved the location of this property. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again for sure."
Quality Inn SeaTac Airport-Seattle
"Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and hot water. The hotel is close to the airport and they offer free shuttle to/from airport. They also have a shuttle to the cruise ship for a fee."
Renaissance Seattle Hotel
"Great location, well kept, quiet area. Walkable but be aware that most of downtown city is on a giant hill so lots of incline/decline"
Hotel Sorrento
"Loved Stella outdoor dining for a family of 10!"
Coast Seattle Downtown Hotel by APA
"The room was amazing with a fantastic view and windows that opened enough for fresh air. Bidet was amazing, shower was divine. The room came equipped with house slippers/slides, and an umbrella in case you’re venturing in the rain. Dottie at the front desk was absolutely amazing, they were the most helpful when my boyfriend and I checked in kinda late and explained all things parking pass and elevator to us. There is a 24/7 gym on property as well, idk how often you’d wanna use it though because pikes place is about a mile trek from the hotel and the stroll back is uphill and terrible but worth it."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Mercer Island
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Mercer Island is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the area's rich landmarks, history, and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to enjoy various attractions, including scenic islands, family-friendly activities, cultural events like opera and theatre, as well as opportunities for shopping, relaxing by the lake, and even horseback riding. Travelling during this period may offer great value for money, as prices could drop, making it an ideal time for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Mercer Island, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to receive updates on flash sales and special promotions, helping you save on booking hotels. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re informed of any changes in availability or price drops for your preferred accommodations.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Mercer Island. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially greater value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may offer better value, helping you to secure the most advantageous deal.
- Consider your location: Opting to stay near key attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels located in less central areas or neighbourhoods, allowing you to balance price with accessibility to the sites you wish to visit. You might also look into independent hotels situated further out, which are more likely to offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
