Langtry Hotel
"It was clean enough to stay in You get what you pay for. Staff are very nice and on top of everything"
B&B HOTEL Ipswich
"Always a great stay, my go to"
The Essex Golf and Country Club
"This was our 6th stay at The Essex and we never have any complaints. The rooms are good size and have been recently refurbished. The location is nice and quiet, with a nice walk round the local airfield"
OYO Pier Hotel
"A very friendly welcome, we was moved rooms to the quieter side of the hotel as we had a child with us which was a nice touch. Comfy bed, a very thing you need. Very close to the pier was a great stay."
Chudleigh Hotel
"This place is a gem. The owners are warm, welcoming and very helpful, and so are the rest of the staff. The place is reminiscent of the best of a traditional guest house, but with a modern clean feel. The amenities in the room were plentiful, and with the guests’ comfort in mind. The extra touches were much appreciated, as was the cleanliness and cotton sheets. The breakfast room is bright and airy, with white linen table cloths and pretty china. The breakfast is generous and good. The hotel is only a short walk from the seafront, and also from the town. I stayed four nights in a street-facing room. There was some street noise, but not excessive, and it was quiet after about 11pm. There is no lift/elevator, but I noticed there were ground level rooms for those with mobility issues. I will definitely book the Chudleigh again when I next visit friends and family in the Clacton area."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
"Second time staying here. Great place, friendly staff, room was really nice. Still the only downside is having to pay for parking, should be free for those staying at the hotel in my opinion."
Marine Inn
"We had a fab stay at the marine inn it’s all new so all fresh and clean. We had a little room with sea view and it was very cosy did the job of what we needed for the night. Looking forward to staying again. Watched a beautiful sunrise from the window too"
Kingscliff Hotel
"No lift but staff assisted with my case. Dinner cooked to order so time to chat with other guests. Single room compact and very warm so needed fan which was provided. All staff very pleasant."
