Miraflores
Miraflores delivers dramatic coastal views along its six-mile Malecón promenade where Pacific waves crash against rugged cliffs. Parque Kennedy buzzes with street performers, resident cats, and casual eateries perfect for people-watching. The ancient Huaca Pucllana ruins stand impressively amid modern high-rises, while Larcomar shopping centre offers retail therapy carved right into the coastal bluffs. Dining options range from world-class cevicherías to cosy cafés, with most restaurants staying open until midnight. Luxury hotels and boutique properties dominate accommodation, many featuring ocean views and rooftop pools. Getting around is a breeze with wide pavements, efficient Metropolitano bus service, and plentiful taxis connecting you to Lima's best experiences.

Barranco
Barranco's colourful streets showcase Lima's artistic soul through stunning murals and historic colonial mansions. The romantic Bridge of Sighs offers panoramic Pacific Ocean views while art galleries and museums like Pedro de Osma celebrate Peru's creative spirit. Sunset strolls along the clifftop promenade reveal dramatic coastal vistas that photographers dream about. Dining options range from cosy cafes to lively ceviche spots where locals and travellers mingle over pisco sours. Getting around this walkable area is easy, though some clifftop areas require good shoes. Boutique hotels in converted historic buildings make perfect bases for exploring this bohemian coastal gem.

Lima Historic Center
Lima Historic Centre mesmerises with UNESCO World Heritage treasures at every turn. The Plaza Mayor dazzles as the beating heart, surrounded by the breathtaking Cathedral of Lima and ornate colonial buildings from the 16th century. San Francisco Monastery invites you to explore golden altars above and mysterious catacombs below, while pastel mansions with intricate wooden balconies line cobblestone streets. Traditional criollo restaurants serve up mouthwatering ceviche and pisco sours between sightseeing adventures. Boutique hotels in restored colonial mansions offer period charm with interior courtyards. The Metropolitano bus system connects easily to other Lima districts, though the historic core itself is best discovered on foot.

San Isidro
San Isidro balances sleek business prowess with unexpected pockets of leafy tranquility. Centuries-old olive trees create cathedral-like canopies in El Olivar Park, just steps from gleaming financial towers. Luxury shoppers flock to Camino Real Mall and Avenue Los Conquistadores for high-end retail therapy. Lima Golf Club offers a manicured green escape amid this sophisticated urban landscape. High-end dining dominates the scene with renowned cevicherías and contemporary Peruvian restaurants perfect for power lunches or evening unwinding. Business hotels and boutique properties provide upscale accommodation options with rooftop pools and concierge services. Getting around is a breeze with excellent bus connections, clean pavements, and abundant taxis.
Leuro
Leuro gives you an authentic slice of everyday Lima life, far from the tourist shuffle. Stroll tree-lined streets where local families go about their day and small markets buzz with area energy. The area offers a peaceful base to recharge between your Lima adventures with its residential charm and community vibe. Budget-friendly guesthouses and family-run hostels make Leuro ideal for value-conscious travellers. Small restaurants serve delicious home-style Peruvian food at local prices. While public transit is limited, taxis can easily connect you to Lima's major attractions whenever you're ready to explore.

Lima and related destinations
Beneath a perpetual coastal fog, Lima's culinary scene has become South America's most exciting food destination. The historic centre reveals Spanish colonial splendour at Plaza de Armas, where the Government Palace hosts a daily changing of the guard that's theatrical without trying. Larco Herrera Museum houses pre-Columbian treasures in a mansion surrounded by gardens. Miraflores district offers paragliding launches from clifftops above the Pacific, while Barranco's bohemian streets hide art galleries and pisco bars in colourful colonial buildings. Don't miss the water and light show at Parque de la Reserva, where fountains perform to music each evening. The catacombs beneath San Francisco Church provide a macabre but fascinating glimpse into the city's past.

Hilton Garden Inn Lima Miraflores
"Very good service. They clean everyday, they do the beds and fresh new towels every morning I recommend this place. I give 5 stars"
ibis Larco Miraflores
"Muy bueno"
Radisson Hotel Decapolis Miraflores
"Professional staff, best breakfast, high quality hardwares, nice location "
Dazzler by Wyndham Lima San Isidro
"This hotel has great potential but the management have made some cost-cutting choices that have let the hotel down. For example, there is no free water in the rooms. Other hotels provide a bottle per person per day. There are no plates for the weight-lifting machines in the gym. The pool was not attended and some tables were dirty. There were some bits at the bottom of the jacuzzi. These are all easily fixable. The staff are very polite and willing to help."
Holiday Inn Lima Miraflores by IHG
"The room was nice but we stayed as a group doing early morning tours so we didn’t get to experience the dining aspect of the hotel. The staff were very helpful."
INNSiDE by Meliá Lima Miraflores
"Beautiful Hotel, lovely staff. I had a fantastic stay. Thank you very much!"
Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores by IHG
"Enjoyed our stay here! Cute, chic hotel that is centrally located in walking distance to Lacromar. The staff was very attentive making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed."
Casa Andina Standard Benavides
"The hotel was great. Very clean, modern, and breakfast was good. Would stay there again. Some minor complaint is that our key card kept having issues where it wouldn't unlock the door. In addition, when I called reception from my room to ask about laundry service, they put me on hold and I waited then they hung up. So I just went downstairs myself and spoke to another staff who was able to help. Again, very minor but overall I liked the hotel and would stay again."
JW Marriott Hotel Lima
"Staff was amazing! Property was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and accommodating!"

If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that could lead you to a more affordable option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Lima's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money available.
