Most visitors stay in the 4-5 star beachfront resorts with stunning pools, though getting around is easy with abundant taxis and a highly walkable beachfront strip.

Raya Kuta
Kuta's lively main strip buzzes with endless entertainment options. Neon-lit bars and thumping nightclubs light up after dark, while daytime brings bargain hunters to bustling souvenir markets and craft stalls. Street warungs serve delicious nasi goreng alongside upscale beachfront restaurants with ocean views. Accommodation range from budget hostels to beachfront resorts, all within walking distance of the action. Getting around is easy with frequent minibuses and plenty of motorbike taxis connecting you to Bali's other hotspots.

Sunset Road

Bali Dynasty Resort
"Relaxing, staff are very friendly happy and helpful at all times. Well situated, not far from airport. Kids are always entertained, loved the kids club. Awesome time here."
The Stones Hotel - Legian Bali
"The room was great both size and comfort. Pool was great except for some Black Spot Algae which needs to be attended to asap. Breakfast was also great. Coffees ordered at breakfast were often not hot enough, even though we kept asking for extra extra hot to compensate for this. Some we just had to send back as not drinkable. In 7 nights only 1 day was delivered hot. Gym was really really good. Staff were very friendly. I also liked that the staff took towels off the chairs around the pool when they hadn’t been anyone there for hours. People would put their towels there at 6:30 and not use them till 11 or 12 so there was nowhere for people to sit even though there was nobody at the pool. Good on the staff for enforcing this rule which I might add was signposted. Would I stay here again. Yes."
Holiday Inn Express Baruna Bali by IHG

"I stayed for 1 night as my flight was due in late. I was met by the bell boy for a free transfer at the airport, the staff were all lovely, great breakfast in the morning. Room nicely decorated and perfect stay. No time for the pool. The hotel is on a road, however I was not concerned about noise, and it was a quick walk to the beach with lots of shops around. Overall a great place to stay."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Kuta
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Kuta is during February, March, and November, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 4 to 5 days is recommended to fully appreciate the area’s key landmarks, cultural sites, and natural beauty. During your visit, you can explore the stunning beaches, indulge in surfing, witness breathtaking sunsets, shop at local markets, and visit beautiful temples. Additionally, Kuta offers a plethora of dining options, tropical experiences, and vibrant dancing, making it a great value for money destination for culturally curious travellers.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Kuta, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel options as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to remain informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions, which could help you save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best options. With these features, you'll be promptly notified if prices drop or rooms become available for your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could assist you in finding a more affordable option for your stay in a Kuta hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised atmosphere and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may help you discover a more favourable option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Kuta's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
