Downtown Gatlinburg
City centre Gatlinburg bursts with family-friendly fun at every turn. The neon-lit Parkway buzzes with Ripley's attractions, arcades, and mini-golf courses against a stunning Smoky Mountain backdrop. Stroll between taffy shops and moonshine distilleries while mountain views peek between buildings. SkyLift and Anakeesta offer treetop adventures for those seeking heights and sights. Hotels with mountain-themed décor sit just minutes from the action. Grab pancakes at breakfast houses or sample local BBQ as you explore. The trolley connects major spots during peak seasons, but most visitors prefer discovering the pedestrian-friendly strip on foot.

Chalet Village
Chalet Village offers the perfect mountain escape with rustic wooden cabins tucked into the forested hills above Gatlinburg. Your mornings start with misty mountain views from a private deck, while evenings mean soaking in a hot tub under the stars. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park sits practically at your doorstep, with hiking trails and wildlife just minutes away. Most cabins come with full kitchens for cosy home-cooked meals after exploring. City centre Gatlinburg's restaurants and shops are just a short drive down winding mountain roads. You'll definitely need a car to get around these peaceful, secluded hills where the only sounds are the whispers of the forest.

Chalet Village North
Perched above Gatlinburg, Chalet Village North delivers the mountain retreat of your dreams without the city centre commotion. Rustic log cabins and sleek chalets hide among dense forests, each with private hot tubs and killer views. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park sits right at your doorstep, perfect for hikers, wildlife spotters, and anyone who loves a good sunrise through the misty trees. You'll need wheels to get around these winding mountain roads since there's no public transit up here. The trade-off? Total peace after dark and space to breathe. Restaurants and shopping require a quick 10-minute drive to city centre, but most rentals come with fully-equipped kitchens for cosy nights in.

Learn more about Gatlinburg
Suspended between mountain wilderness and tourist kitsch, this gateway to the Smokies offers a peculiar charm. The aerial tramway whisks you to Ober Gatlinburg for year-round activities including summer alpine slides and winter skiing. Along the Parkway, moonshine distilleries offer tastings with entertaining histories that may or may not be entirely factual. Ripley's Aquarium showcases creatures far from their natural habitat, while the Space Needle provides views that explain why these mountains earned the 'Smoky' moniker. For a break from the neon and fudge shops, Great Smoky Mountains National Park begins where the pancake houses end. The SkyPark and Anakeesta offer treetop perspectives without the hiking, perfect for those who want mountain views with minimal exertion.

Comfort Suites Gatlinburg Downtown-Convention Center
"All was well with the stay"
The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Gatlinburg
"The room and the property were clean and well maintained but the hotel itself needs some updates. The AC needs an update, had the room set at 68 but never got down past 71. At one point it hit 75. Rooms need minor updates such as wallpaper fixes but that’s not a big deal to me. Mountain views were incredible, definitely worth the upgrade to a mountain view room. Overall I would probably book again"
Edgewater Hotel - Gatlinburg
"N/A"
Glenstone Lodge
"Quiet and conveniently located. The entrance has a nice Alpine, rustic feel, and check-in was seamless. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the lobby is attractive and well maintained. The rooms, however—or at least ours—felt dated and a bit run-down and could definitely use some updating. We spent most of our time outside the hotel, so that really wasn’t a major issue for us. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, but if having a modern, updated room is a deal-breaker for you, you may want to look elsewhere."
Margaritaville Resort Gatlinburg
"Awesome!!! Clean extremely roomy rooms great food at the bar. My husband said the wings were some of the best he has ever had. Convenient to everything. Great!! Staff was amazing."
Brookside Lodge
"Very nice place to stay"
Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park
"Clean room. Friendly staff."
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Gatlinburg Downtown
"A Lovely Hotel meeting our needs. Clean room w/ great bed. Quietness which was Wonderful. Served a great breakfast. Staff so helpful meeting our needs. Last year we were blessed to see 2 big bears in the parking lot @ night; missed them this year. We give our recommendations."
Sidney James Mountain Lodge
"I was very impressed with how friendly the staff was. Room was very clean though it was a little outdated. Plenty of parking and well lit at night. Actually got to see a bear walking by the hotel one evening. This hotel is perfect for a family getaway. I would definitely stay again."
