Learn more about Tirana
Beneath Mount Dajti's shadow, this revitalised capital buzzes with unexpected energy. Skanderbeg Square forms the vibrant heart where locals gather amid colourful, competing buildings. Duck into Bunk'Art 2, a communist-era nuclear bunker turned thought-provoking museum. The National History Museum, with its striking socialist mosaic façade, houses treasures spanning Illyrian times to post-communist rebirth. Outdoor cafés overflow with patrons sipping espresso and raki while debating football matches. The block area reveals trendy bars where young Albanians create a surprising nightlife scene. For the best views, ride the Dajti cable car for a forest escape minutes from the urban bustle.

Maritim Hotel Plaza Tirana
"Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, bars, and the mall. Parking was very convenient. The view honestly is breathtaking and breakfast was 10/10 just make sure you have European phone charger."
Chateau Linza Resort
"Great view, clean property, easy to find and free parking? Great food. Good location."
Mondial Hotel
"I ordered tacos on the rooftop bar that were delicious. And the breakfast buffet the next day had quite a lot of choices. The buffet was well stocked. Also delicious. I would recommend this hotel. It’s beautiful."
Hotel La Cita
"Room 306 is basically a studio apartment complete with a laundry washer in the bathroom and a kitchen with a full size refrigerator and an oven (but no microwave). There was a clothes drying rack on the balcony. We found all of it to be very useful. The air conditioning worked well. The bed was comfortable. The sheets and towels were clean. The room was fairly quiet. The wifi worked. On the down side, there is no lift. The fixtures are somewhat out of date. The bathroom floor has some broken tiles. The bathroom had a slightly unpleasant smell (but not too bad). The light switch for the bathroom is in an inconvenient location. There was no curtain on the balcony door, so there was light coming in from the balcony all the time. The location is good, very close to some shops, including two of the best supermarkets in Tirane. The German Hospital is across the street, along with several pharmacies. It's about 1km from the city center."
Mulaj Hotel
"The sweetest most accommodating staff I have ever worked with. They booked us a taxi from the airport, checking in was so easy, and they even had the room ready early which was a huge bonus. Communicating with staff was easy and the location is amazing, it’s near everything in Tirana so you will love it"
Doanesia Premium Hotel & Spa
"Staff was always so helpful. Eugene was a delight at dinner"
Starlight Hotel
"Wonderful hotel. Tucked away off the main road but in a great location, easy walk to airport bus and central sights. Very clean, good amenities, luggage storage, good wifi."
Rogner Hotel Tirana
"Amazing rooms and pool, superb breakfast and helpful staff!"
Si Hotel
"Excellent appartement style hôtel, breakfast was great, really well located and the staff was the best part of this experience."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Tirana
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Tirana is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a fulfilling experience that allows you to explore the city’s key landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. During your visit, you can enjoy local cafes, museums, monuments, and the historic castle, as well as partake in activities like roller-skating or visiting the beautiful mountains and ancient ruins. This makes for a great value for money trip, especially if you're on a budget, as prices may drop during these months.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore hotel deals in Tirana, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates as your travel date approaches. To enhance your chances of finding the best hotel deal in Tirana, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for updates on flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're informed about any changes in availability or pricing. This way, you could be the first to seize an opportunity for a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable stay in a hotel in Tirana. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised touch and potentially better value. When you make a booking through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more budget-friendly option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Tirana’s outstanding public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further afield that remains well linked. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money available. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
