Learn more about Hunter
Carve down Hunter Mountain's slopes in winter, where the Kaatskill Flyer whisks skiers to panoramic Catskill vistas. Summer transforms this mountain hamlet into an outdoor playground with zip-lines sending adventurers soaring through the forest canopy. Hiking trails wind through the Catskill Forest Preserve, revealing hidden waterfalls and sweeping valley views. Local festivals bring the village to life with Appalachian music echoing against the mountains. After exploring, dip your toes in Belleayre Beach or browse Main Street's galleries showcasing regional artists. The tiny village (population 429) punches well above its weight in natural splendour. Arrive midweek to experience the mountain's quieter, contemplative side when the weekend warriors have departed.

Hotel Vienna
"Quiant property."
AutoCamp Catskills
"A great destination with kids. We stayed in an airstream for 2 nights during the week and it was very cool. It was clean and unique. We only used fire to make smores which was fun. But we saw others grilling meats. I feel the place was understaffed, however, the staff that were there worked very hard to make sure all of our needs were taken care of. Overall a great time."
Hampton Inn Kingston
"Everyone we encountered was friendly and cheerful and extremely helpful! Our room was clean and comfy and we even saw a great rainbow out of ur room window after a bad storm! Breakfast was so delish and plenty of it!"
Wylder Hotel Windham
"The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to make sure you had whatever you wanted. There are plenty of things to do right at the hotel and you are right by the mountains if you want to take advantage of that. The pool is heated and you can have drinks by the pool. There are several locations for fire pits and the staff will help you get a raging fire going immediately upon request. The golf course was simply beautiful and if that is your thing, absolutely a must. The restaurant on the grounds was terrific as was the bakery for breakfast and goodies. The buildings themselves are 150 years old and are lovely to check out just for that. I would certainly return in the future."
Courtyard by Marriott Kingston
"We love everything about this hotel"
Emerson Resort & Spa
"We had a really beautiful stay, staff was wonderful- everything was clean."
Urban Cowboy Lodge
"Fabulous resort, food, service. We visited from the UK and for sure will be returning. Highly recommend."
Fairlawn Inn
"We had the most lovely stay. It was really cute and the host was so friendly. The breakfast on the wrap around porch was the cherry on top of a great weekend."

- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could potentially help you find a better deal for your stay at a hotel in Hunter. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average.
