Historic location. Very intimate. We had our own etage on top. Very friendly staff. Ready to help with anything. Easy access to Souk & Market, restaurants and cafes
Walking distance from taxi square to hotel was about 500 m.

The riad is well located, beautiful and the staff are responsive and helpful. The breakfast was also good with a diversity of items
Unfortunately our room was not clean and the sheets were not changed when we arrived. But as soon as we complained, we got new sheets.

Staff is friendly, i was not able to eat breakfast at 8am time due to early departure for tour, however hotel prepared a to-go breakfast earlier. Kitchen is clean and at a courtyard that I can prepared some instant foods if needed. The riad is about 5 minutes walking to the tour pick up point.

Had An amazing stay at the riad lalla, the hosts are extremely helpful with getting around or info you need. Breakfast is included which was nice and you get a key to come in and out as you please. Expect others to be at your stay but I barely seen them. Overall amazing experience!!cannot thank them enough for their help throughout my trip

A really charming Riad! The owners were extremely friendly and made us feel like we were at home. The location is right in the heart of the medina and is walking distance to everything. The shower is also the best shower we had all trip. Would highly recommend!!!

A very warm welcome from the start and the Riad was one of the best things during the while trip. Central but still calm and the best food during the whole trip. Make sure you have at least one dinner there.

A hidden oasis in the middle of intense chaos that is Marrakesh, super attentive staff- kudos to Omar, Zahira, and Naima, they go out of their way to help you. Their breakfast is a good deal, everything prepared fresh.

My stay at Riad Dar Lalla was nothing short of exceptional. From the beginning, communication was perfect and the staff ensured that we had safe travels to and from the airport.
Once at the Riad, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel like family immediately - joining us in conversation and providing us with local insights.
The owner of the Riad was extremely lovely. I would 100% recommend this location for being central to the markets (Souks) but still extremely quiet and walkable to a lot of tours.

Our stay at Riad Dar Lalla was absolutely wonderful! The best place we stayed in Morocco by far. The Riad was peaceful, close to everything, so comfortable and beautiful! The family that looks after the Riad were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. After arriving late, we were lucky enough to join them for dinner which was delicious and we were so grateful. Breakfast was delicious! So fresh and so much food! Thank you so much for everything!

We had a wonderful time in the Riad, and I am happy that it is the one we chose for our stay. If you follow google maps it is easy enough to find, although pay attention to black unmarked door that sometimes closes the small street where the entrance is. The Riad itself is lovely, the rooms are very well insulated from noise, and the breakfast is simply divine.
I want to especially thank Hassiya (Or Hassane, which is not what I heard, but it's what her translation app was saying) for her attention to us despite the language barrier. What a lovely, cheerful and kind person she was. We resorted to automatic translation at times (my french is almost non existent, and I don't speak arabic). I hope the guys there that had really good english tell her on our behalf that she made our stay extra welcoming and special.
Final notes: they will offer you a taxi service. Seriously consider it.
No bins to be seen, but everything was clean and tidy. If you are like us, you might want to carry a plastic bag or something like that for your trash during the trip. just in case?
We had a private bathroom that was accessed from outside our room proper, and the shower was wonderfully warm.
In any case, very very recommended.

I made the right choice in staying at a riad rather than a generic hotel. A great introduction to Marrakesh/Morroco. Ahmed and the rest of the team at Riad Dar Lalla were very welcoming, supportive and hospitable. Although close to the souks it is surprisingly quiet once you are inside.
Lovingly maintained, clean and very comfortable. Being a riad it was like a home from home with 4 double bedrooms.
Breakfast was varied and filling. It kept me going for the day. I loved the FRESH orange juice and peppermint tea.
Perfect location for being absorbed into Medina life. I would stay again but next time not spend so much time getting lost.

The reality of this riad is that it has both good and less good sides. After a long trip, we arrived hoping to rest, but the room didn’t feel very clean. The sheets were likely changed but seemed worn or not properly washed, and with white sheets, that becomes quite noticeable over time. There was quite a lot of dust and sand on the floor too. While we were told “this is Africa,” it still felt like too much.
That said, staying in a riad in Marrakech is a unique experience I would recommend. The house itself has charm and real potential, but the condition doesn’t fully match the photos. We stayed in March, and due to poor insulation and recent rain, the room felt humid, which my mother (who is sensitive) found uncomfortable.
The riad is part of a family home, which adds authenticity but also meant some noise in the evenings. Initially, the street felt a bit sketchy, but we quickly realized it was safe and close to the main areas.
The highlight was definitely the breakfast. The woman preparing it was incredibly kind and put a lot of care into the food — especially the omelets and spreads.
The younger staff spoke good English, but could have been more welcoming. No one was there to greet us on arrival despite us sharing our timing, which was stressful without internet.
Overall, a memorable stay with great potential, though not as polished as it appears. It’s definitely livable, but the condition may not fully match the photos — which is not that uncommon in this region.

This is more a rental than a classic hotel. You get keys to the front door and your room, but have access to the whole house, including a lovely roof terrace.
It is located in the Medina, about 15-20 min. walk from the main square and main attractions.
The cab can leave you off about 100 m. from the door. The place is difficult to find, make sure you communicate your time of arrival, so that someone will be there to open the door. You will be welcome with mint tea and sweets.
The breakfast is delicious, and the ladies attending to the guests are very nice, speak some English. Owner speaks excellent English; communication was easy over WhatsApp.

The host was absolutely amazing. I felt so comfortable like I was staying with family. Breakfast was different every day. There was a Jade color pool in the middle of the dining area. It was perfect for pictures. It felt like we were all a big family. My room was cleaned I even had my laundry done twice during my stay. They offered cab services recommendations, even to show us around themselves. I truly could not have asked for more during my first trip to Morocco.

The sheets were not clean. Their name in the hotel and the app is completely different from the one that shows in Google Maps, which make it really confusing, and got me lost. The guys taking care of reception were never visible or available and when I saw them they were clearly high. Plus they gave me the very last room, which it was nice and they had one available on the first floor. I had to pay extra to bring my stuff back from the other side of the Medina, because of the Maps confusion, carrying 2 suitcases through the Medina is not joke, otherwise I wouldn’t care. And the phone number they have in hotels.com does not work, the only way for me to communicate with them was reaching out to hotels.com and that is how they immediately texted me through WhatsApp, otherwise I would have never done with the actual place, and it was about to start raining.

A fantastic stay - we stayed for one night then went on a 3day desert tour and then came back to 2 nights. The hotel kindly looked after our bags and were a great support.
We had a challenge on day 1 as another hotel told us they were our driver and took us to the wrong place but Riad dar lalla were amazing, came and got us and walked us safely to the right place. They even offered to have dinner made for us on an evening!
