Really friendly staff in the Hotel pub. We only stayed a single night and ate both our evening meal and had a breakfast in the morning. This was all to a very good standard.

6/10 Good

The staff were very friendly, the room was nice and clean and smelled lovely. Location was fine, with lovely views and a convenient half hour walk into Skipton, great for the dog. We struggled to sleep as the room was very warm and the bed rock hard. We knew the room was going to be small but hadn't appreciated how small, and my husband struggled with how small the shower was.

Our room (no 16) was a lovely spacious room and very clean. Unfortunately for us it is right above the pub cellar and there was a problem with a beer pump in the cellar which disturbed our sleep all night, which is the reason for only giving 3 stars as there were no staff available at 10pm to speak to someone it could be sorted. Spoke to member of staff on leaving who told us about the pump but a bit late by then. They did apologise to give them credit though.

Lovely, clean and friendly. I would have liked an earlier breakfast option due to work.

The accommodation and staff were exellent. However the hotel only reopened at Easter following refurbishment. The bar has limited opening closing between 5pm and 7pm and food is only served until about 5pm at the present time which means guests have to eat early or find another option for dinner, which is about a 25 minute walk into Skipton.

6/10 Good

The location was good but the food left a lot to be desired, basically the food was poor and the staff defended the chef, on a Saturday evening there we few guests eating. The shower curtain was covered in black mold on the bottom and at £!!! for a night it was very expensive. Having checked another hotel in Skipton it was £105 for bed and breakfast

Rooms are small, but recently refurbished, bright and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, but business has recently reopened and there are still processes that need to be sorted out.

6/10 Good

Room was clean, as was bathroom, though the latter could do with modernisation. Food was fine - all in all, did the job and good value
Verified review

2/10 Poor

None of the above. The hotel was dreadful. No roaring fire...no evening meal/food...no breakfast. I have stayed in better Truck stops.
Verified review

4/10 Fair

The limited check in time and nobody to help as I arrived at 1820 meant I had to pay for another hotel for the night. The pub was closed despite it saying it was open on the hotel website.

“Bar only opened five weeks ago”; “kitchen only opened three weeks ago”; “we’re new and never run a hotel before”. WiFi didn’t work, consequently smart TV didn’t either. It was a bit like walking into someone’s front room
