This is a farm house stay in countryside where guests are required to take there shoes off which I agree with. The owner is helpful but the place could do with a little update it's fi e for a night but given the price possibly a little over priced. No disrespect but I think the owner needs some help overall he is friendly and not rude but does have strict rules it's his house so that's fair. The breakfast was good and and was of a high standard

Lovely pet friendly farmhouse in a stunning location. Neil met us on arrival & was very helpful, friendly , informative. Cosy room with tv & coffee/tea facilities & nice biscuits. Had a very nice stay at Neil's B&B on the way to the Scottish Borders. I was travelling alone with the dog and our single room was comfortable and with a lovely view. My late check in was managed professionally and breakfast was a nice treat. Would definitely recommend.

Neil is a phenomenal host who has thought of everything. And if you want to know about the history of Scotland or England or want to discuss it, you've come to the right place! He's incredibly knowledgeable about a variety of topics. He's also a tremendous cook and has a great sense of humor. And the view of Ben Nevis right out the window is to die for. We slept very well in the super comfortable bed and woke to the sound of chirping birds.

The host was very unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. There was no greeting or even a simple “hello” — the first thing we were asked was simply, “You are?”, which made us feel more like suspicious visitors than paying guests. There are also quite a few house rules, such as having to remove outdoor shoes at the entrance. Breakfast is served in a short time window. We accept that we made a mistake by not reading the room description carefully enough and did not realise that there was no private bathroom. We asked politely whether we could move to another room and were happy to pay extra. We were told that none of the rooms had private bathrooms, which we accepted. However, the host then immediately asked, “Where are you from?” Given the context and the way we had already been treated, this felt uncomfortable and left us wondering whether our background was relevant to how we were being treated. Most importantly, the soundproofing is extremely poor. As the bathroom is shared and very close to our room, we could hear other guests using the toilet, opening doors and walking around very clearly from our bed, including during the night. We slept very badly as a result. We can tolerate a cold host and extra house rules — after all, this is a B&B, not a hotel. But the most basic requirement of accommodation is being able to have a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, that was not possible here. Combined with the host's attitude, it made the overall experience very unpleasant.

This is a charming farmhouse at a convenient location. There are about 5 rooms, not every room has an en-suite bathroom. We had booked a triple room so had an ensuite bathroom, which was small but clean. The beds were comfortable. The entire house was clean and had an incredibly welcoming smell. The host, Neil, lives in the property and cooks breakfast to order, the breakfast is scrumptious and delicious ! Neil is an amazing host who has immense knowledge about the area and is always happy to help, he also has a great sense of humour. Overall it was a cozy stay and I would definitely recommend the place.

I really appreciated the welcome and genuine hospitality from the outset. My host in particular shared an ex military/RAF background adding to the quality of my stay. The standard of breakfast was excellent. The location makes the hotel an ideal staging post for journeys too and from the Scottish Hebrides. Also being dog friendly, I will definitely be coming back again. Overall - excellent.
