La Finca La Amistad was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. The property is beautifully maintained and filled with an incredible variety of plants. As nature lovers, we were fascinated by the organic cacao farm and even got to see vanilla vines for the first time. The cacao tour was excellent and gave us a new appreciation for the work that goes into producing chocolate.
Breakfast was included and featured plenty of fresh ingredients grown right on the farm. They did a wonderful job accommodating our vegan diet. We also enjoyed dinner there every evening. The menu changes daily, so each meal was a pleasant surprise. Everything was freshly prepared, delicious, and filling—honestly better than many restaurant meals. It was clear that great care went into every dish.
Our cabin was spacious, comfortable, and had a balcony that extended into the forest. We loved sitting outside listening to the birds and wildlife day and night.
The farm is conveniently located near Tenorio National Park, where we spent a day exploring. We also enjoyed horseback riding and swimming in the beautiful Celeste River. There is so much to see and do both on the farm and nearby that I recommend staying at least three days, if not longer.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. If you're looking for an authentic Costa Rican experience surrounded by nature, organic farming, wildlife, and adventure, La Finca La Amistad is a wonderful place to stay.
