It did the job
I spent 4 nights while a tourist in Hamburg. Hotel Altan did the job for me. It's a couple of short blocks from the U-Bahn station and a 20 minute walk to the center. There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. The neighborhood was lively but my room was quiet.

Misleading photos
The three-person room was disappointing. They have images of three single beds, and that was what I specifically requested, but that wasnt possible when we got there.

- Graffiti all over the front of the hotel - Damp stains on the ceiling - Only 1 curtain which covered half the window - Mould in the bathroom - Very narrow corridors - Offensive stickers in the hallway/stairwell which I removed myself due to children staying in the hotel

Ghetto hotel in loud area
This hotel does not look like in the pictures, in real life it’s old and sketchy and it is in a very loud area, you can hear all the yelling and cars when you’re trying to sleep with the window opened because It doesn’t have A/C or a fan during summer time, it does not have a reception like in the pictures and no one who can give info for tourists. Rooms are clean but toilet doesn’t flush very good

Keine Schränke vorhanden für die Kleidung, man lebt wirklich aus dem Koffer. Es wird kein Frühstück Angeboten obwohl man mit Kindern kommt und die Webseite was anderes verspricht. Kaum Platz zum bewegen, mit Kindern eher unpraktisch.
