We did a trip into Chania to see the old town and port. Beautiful but busy with loads of people and lots of tourists too which is expected. Will do this again next year. More expensive due to the tourism than surrounding areas. Great place.

Chania is a beautiful city and a great spot for visiting various sites around the island. We enjoyed an Olive Oil tour at Biolea Estates, honey tour with Andonis at Melipap Ariary, and visited Elafonissi and Balos beaches.

Balos Beach- know about the 30 min rough road & the 30-40 hike down (and up). If you can do it physically it is worth it. MUST get there by 8:00 or 9:00 for sun beds.

Chania has a long string of great to utterly stunning beaches, Yannis cove, soft sand of Golden Beach, an amazing walk along other beaches - some crowded - some pebbley - and some rocky - to the port. Fabulous glass bottomed boat trips from the port.
"Loved this property. In the middle of the action! staff was soooo friendly and gave great local recommendations, especially Areti!
One thing was no parking, as this is in a pedestrian area, but we parked at a structure a couple minute walk away."
"This property is beautiful! The view from our room was incredible, the sun set was right in front of us on the water every evening. The included breakfast was also delicious; I enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk downstairs to eat every morning and the hours were great. Great location to walk places nearby. Love, love, love! I highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Chania. "
"Breakfast was delicious, and the location couldn’t be better—central and easily walkable to Old Town. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Onsite parking was a big plus, and we never had trouble finding a spot. Service was excellent, especially thanks to Petros. But our absolute favourite part? The sweet house dog! "
"Kriti is a great Hotel . Close to everything. Staff super friendly, clean breakfast was also good. Can't help but recommend it.
Thankyou for a great stay"
