A great stay in the heart of Salcombe
Right in the middle of town so a bit noisy but otherwise fantastic. The Garden suite has its own entrance and is a lovely room with a fabulous feature bath. Parking permit provided for the long stay car park. Breakfast is amazing- would totally recommend this pub

Great overnight stay
We stayed for just one night and the room was excellent - well furnished, very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The position is very central for the town and no hills to climb! Lovely food too. Highly recommended, my only comment would be that we stayed on a very hot night so had the windows wide open (the room had a Dyson fan as well) and we could hear the customers in the outside area until quite late, though I would add that The Fortescue provide ear plugs! A lovely stay, helpful and pleasant staff, definitely worth a visit.

Great few days at The Fortesque, Salcombe!
Loved our stay at The Fortesque, we had a great room which was well furnished with a lovely bathroom. Brilliant breakfast and we also sampled their takeaway pizzas and ate in the pub on our last night which was lovely. Salcombe is just beautiful and we had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Perfect location and atmosphere
Lovely pub hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. The food was good and the room very comfortable (great bed, warm, newly refurbished, choice of tea and herbal infusion). Obviously as you're above a pub you can't not expect some noise but they kindly offer earplugs (we personally didn't need them!)

Great place, great location with an epic bath tub.
Amazing room with the biggest bath I've ever seen! Only 3 rooms above this pub, heard a little bit of noise from the pub downstairs but nothing much. Great location with everything Salcombe has to offer only minutes away (defiantly make your own gin at the local distillery). Free parking just a few minutes walk away.

Wonderful stay in our favourite place in the world! Staff were fabulous and had so much time for our 2 very inquisitive boys. We can not wait to come back and will be singing your praises from the roof tops! Thank so much

Great pub , fantastic rooms, central to salcombe
Booked for a gin making experience at Salcombe gin & wasn’t disappointed with the pub. Fantastic quality rooms fitted out in a modern style. Excellent location right in the town and a short stroll to the gin factory. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Great breakfast and decent pub food too. Parking is a issue in salcombe & no spaces were available at the car park that the pub has a permit for. However we parked for free down the road within a 10 minute stroll along the estuary. We would recommend this pub & return.

Very lovely room with a good night’s sleep on a Thursday in February. Friday night was noisy from the pub until 12.30am, although earplugs were supplied!

Great stay
Great pub in the centre of Salcombe. Garden room lovely but can imagine it's very noisy in high season, I've never had ear plugs left on the bedside tables before.

6/10 Good

Bed very comfortable. Exterior room with twisting flight of steps may not suit everyone. Smart contemporary bathroom but no spare toilet rolls and toilet constantly refilling cistern was noisy at night. Didn't buy breakfast so cannot comment on that. Room overpriced. Glimpse of harbour from door was welcome. Very central in Salcombe. Car has to be parked elsewhere (hilly) but permit available.
