8/10 Very good

Myself and my sister had a lovely stay, the service was second to none and a big shout and thank you to Stefanos our bar tender for the evening! He was so welcoming and made a great themed cocktail. Clean, comfortable and good tea/breakfast selection. If we are ever back in Iceland we would definitely stay here again.

Large rooms and beautiful views
Very nice location at the top of a huge hill. Family owned and operated. Nice bar and restaurant table are set up in a banquet style. Breakfast buffet is huge and our dinner the night we got there was very nice with the chef specials. I had artic chard and my friend had stuffed peppers - both were tasty. Rooms were very large. It was windy when we stayed and we were able to catch some northern lights! A nice experience.

8/10 Very good

A hotel was good. Everything was comfortable and clean. Lots of parking and easy to find. Breakfast was ok and had a lot of options. A lot of tour groups stay here so it was a bit loud with people walking up and down the hallways. It did quiet down around eleven p m. The rooms are not sound proof.

We booked this hotel based on previous reviews. It was the perfect place for us to base our day trips from. The small bar had a great selection of top shelf brands and Icelandic Beers. The meals provided in the onsite restaurant were very good. Rooms were minimalistic as far as furniture and were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a base. Other than the restaurant there wasn't a lot to do on the property.

Great clean and comfortable place to stay. Wonderful room with a spa-like washroom. If the skies are clear you would get a great view of the Northern Lights from your room. Breakfast had a great selection and was a great way to start our day.

Saw an excellent view of the Northern Lights directly outside the hotel. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast served here was among all the hotels I stayed at during my trip to Iceland. Lots of options and coffee!! Environment was clean and the staff was heartwarming.

6/10 Good

Good crash pad for adventuring up and done the coast. No complaints with the breakfast. Service, room, and parking were plain but in good condition. The parking lot is extremely windy pretty much all the time.

Average hotel, but best for large tour groups
This hotel is best for huge tour groups - when we arrived the lobby was completely packed with tour groups - so if you're looking for a cozy stay with a partner or friends - I wouldn't recommend. The breakfast is also packed with tour groups - so you need to had breakfast later to have a more comfortable stay. The rooms are very basic - and there's not even bed-side plugs available - so you need to plug your phone in across the room. While the room was fine - not a very nice experience for the very high cost.

4/10 Fair

My first room was only partially cleaned - black sand on the bathroom floor, long black hairs on the bedding, used tissues on the desk. The woman at the front desk was very nice and moved me to a second room which unfortunately had a strong mildew odor coming from the bathroom. I kept the door shut which made it fine for sleeping. Both rooms were incredibly dated. Overall, staff were great but the facilities were not my favorite.
