6/10 Good

Cozy, though not picturesque
Chose to stay at Cozy Palms while attending a conference at the Grand Palm which is nearby.
Cozy Palms itself is fine, and the staff and manager very helpful. A basic motel-style place with cooked breakfast. Wifi was very slow with drop outs. The proprietor picked me up from the airport (arranged in advance) and also took me back there for my departure, with a stop on the way at the craft shop to get some (good) souvenirs. Definitely Cozy - just 6 rooms.
There is nothing special about the neighbourhood round the guest-house - you are in Gaborone suburbs here. There is a shopping centre across the nearby main-road junction that provides a few amenities. I can recommend Dros for an evening meal (though it is a 25 minute walk - see below).
However, the walk out and up to the Grand Palm was not as easy as hoped. First, there is no direct way out from Cozy Palms to the main road - its a 15 minute walk just to get round to the other side of the wall on Molepolole Road. Then the walk up to Grand Palm is a bit desolate, with just scrubland either side. OK in the day, but definitely not recommended after dark. The guest-house will arrange a taxi for you - cost anywhere from 40-100 pula depdning on the mood of the driver that you get.
