First stay-Did not realize room above had major leak so slipped/fell when entering bathroom in the middle of the night. Receptionist "couldn't leave desk" to assist me with my belongings in relocating to another room despite terrible back pain from fall. Manager (J Maldonado) instructed his staff to lie to me about him 'not being available' to avoid discussion.
Subsequent visit-Receptionist 'accidentally' gave my room key to another guest who gained access to my room while I was getting dressed. Clerk acknowledged mishap, apologized and offered points for future stay.
Last visit-Traded points for this stay. Arrived for reservation at 9pm to be told "you should have been notified that the manager canceled the reservation and placed name on a restricted list" without any explanation, apology, or assistance making other arrangements. Yet to receive an explanation or refund for monies spent on stay, as points did not cover the stay as promised.
Three strikes and you're out!! DO BETTER J MALDONADO, AND TRAVELERS SHOULD BEWARE---Wish I had read reviews seeing as there is a clear trend with MANY other travelers having similar encounters with J Maldonado.
Affordable room with cost you more in the end, DO NOT take the chance!
