Reserved on Expedia, did not realize until we arrived that renovation was going on, one elevator working, heat in our room was not working, asked to move and said could put us on the 5th floor, near the construction, or would send a maintenance worker to get heat on. The carpet in the room near the bathroom had a hole and a stain. Did not seem like she cared much, we decided to leave and I wanted a credit for the 2nd night not used and said to call Expedia to see if they will issue credit. Expedia called Marriott while I waited on the phone, they denied credit for the night not used. I expected more from Mariott customer service and quality. Marriott has lost a customer, but if you speak to the clerk and the manager, they seem not to care. I do appreciate Expedia for issuing me a credit on my Expedia acct to use in the future, but will be using it on another hotel chain other than Marriott
