3 night booking. I arrived at about 9pm on the first night after a long and tiring journey, but my room was not ready.
I had to wait about 30 minutes whilst staff went to get towels and soap, as well as a floor-standing fan - there was a fan already in the room but it was broken with the guard cover on the floor. I asked about a room safe, and after a short wait 2 staff members came back in to the room carrying a large, shoddy looking wooden stand and a room safe. The safe was in a terrible condition and looked like it was about 50 years old.
There was an a/c unit in the room but it was broken and not working.
The internet was extremely slow (avg 20kbps!) and the towels supplied were cheap, paper thin & smelt terrible.
There was no seat on the toilet bowl - seriously, how could any hotel offer a room to visitors that had no seat on the toilet bowl!
The power went off for 2 or 3 hours at about 6am during the first morning which meant no electricity for the fan, making the room very hot and uncomfortable. Why was there no back-up generator?
Also that first morning there was a problem with the water supply for the bathroom, I contacted staff and after a short wait the problem was resolved.
That night the water supply went off again, but this time they were unable to fix it so they brought 2 buckets of cold water and a cup into the room for me to use to get washed!
The next morning the water supply was still off. At this point I had had enough and decided to check out.
