I recently stayed at Palihouse West Hollywood while in town for my son’s medical procedure at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. We arrived a few days early to help keep his mind off things with some museum visits, and from the moment we checked in, the hotel exceeded our expectations.
While I was at the front desk, my wife and son went to the on-site café, where they were welcomed with such warmth—it was our first glimpse into the kind of service Palihouse is known for. Each day, my son looked forward to visiting the café and chatting with the bartenders and servers, who always made time for him. Even the bar and food manager joined in, and it really helped make the space feel like a second home during a tough time.
The front desk staff were just as thoughtful, offering dining suggestions and local tips that made our stay even better. Everyone we interacted with from August 2 to August 5 went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. I had written their names down on a card so I could mention them here, but unfortunately, I left it behind in the room. Still, every single member of the team during those days deserves recognition.
Through what could have been a stressful and emotional trip, Palihouse provided comfort, kindness, and a sense of calm. We’re now big fans and will absolutely be staying here again whenever we’re in Los Angeles.
