I recently had a rather disappointing experience at this hotel that I feel compelled to share. Upon checking in, I was informed of a deposit required due to issues with smoking in the rooms. After receiving my key, I made my way down a dimly lit hallway to my room, which was unfortunately not a welcoming sight. The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by how dark and musty the room felt, despite it being the height of the afternoon.
I turned on the lights, but they did little to improve the ambiance. What I noticed first was the awful odor that permeated the space; it was quite off-putting. My next stop was the bathroom, where I was horrified to find small black specks in the toilet, sink, and bathtub. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority for this establishment.
Feeling overwhelmed by the unwelcoming environment and lack of cleanliness, I immediately returned to the reception desk and requested a refund. Honestly, the experience left me shaking my head in disbelief. I simply couldn't stay in such a musty, dark room. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, as a little attention to detail would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience.
