Terrible renovation noises at 7AM!
My recent stay was terrible! I stayed in room 220 from 1/1/2025 to 1/2/2025. There was renovation on the 3rd floor, with no notification on the website, at check-in, or in the room like other hotels do. Not even an in-room memo. Loud and pounding noise from the 3rd floor and directly above my room started at 7am, waking me and my young child from a decent night's sleep on the Hampton Inn bed, which we paid for.
I understand there are times when part of the hotel needs to be closed and remodeled to refresh future guest stays. However, you have to let the guests know either prior to booking, so they can make an informed decision, or through an in-room paper memo so there could be a possibility to be moved to the 1st floor. I mentioned this to the front desk staff at checkout since the loud and pounding renovation noise started at 7am, well before checkout. The desk clerk shrugged and gave a faint apology, saying it was out of their control.
Well, what is in my control is that in the future, as a two-time Hampton Inn guest, you will no longer earn my business.
