My stay at the Hyatt Place Birmingham/ Hoover location was exceptional. The Staff was very pleasant to work with, and they were very accommodating. Due to an issue with Expedia, I had the opportunity to work with the General Manager, Ms. Sonia Mattis.
Not only did Ms. Mattis speak with the Expedia representative on my behalf, but both she (Ms. Mattis) and the Hotel Staff were assuring and patient towards me and my situation. Ms. Mattis and her Staff not only assisted me with my hiccup, but they simultaneously were attentive to the other guests who also needed help.
Ms. Mattis and her Staff followed back up with me prior to my check out. I appreciate their approach and sensitivity to me and my issues with Expedia.
My pressing issue is the way that the Expedia representative handled my concern, which essentially caused a pause in the check-in process. This interaction resulted in the Expedia representative was not pleasant at all. I am hoping that "if" I decide to use this site again, that my experience is better.
