The plus here is that its very very conveniently close to the airport, you can just walk next door to Gateway Hotel and cross the road to the airport. Don't need a shady taxi driver to make you pay to drive you there. Room is very spacious. The curtains in the room are too small to cover the large wall window exposing the guest to the large overgrown abandoned empty bush land area right behind the door. Even there's no curtain on the glass part of the room door. Anyone can peek in and watch you from that part of the bush. Wouldn't recommend females travellingon alone. The reception/foyer area is smelly. The cushions are torn, lights are covered in mildew. The reception toilets are not clean with a makeshift lock. The taxi driver based there is shady, charging crazy taxi fare and calling his discount special rate. I asked around the locals what's the normal rate is like, his rate more than doubled the normal rate. Its sad to see the tourism industry exploiting tourists without offering value for their money by allowing shady dealings in the name of tourism. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. There’s an unease feeling about this place. I don't understand how such places are even allowed to operate or if there are regulations r criteria in place that constitute an 'international hotel' for them to meet before they're given license to operate. We checked out around 5am, so the key was given to the security guard who supposedly acted as the receptionist early hours of the morning.
