The absolute worst.
This hotel was probably the worst Ive ever been to. There are not enough words to describe the experience. Basically the cleaning was non existent. The hotel lets "down to earth" people use it. The entire lot screams homeless encampment. The only saving grace was the hotel clerk Jennifer but at the same not really. She told me id recieve a partial refund for the conditions my room was in. Its been over 10 business days and still no refund. The thing thats tops it off is the fact that they make you sign a no smoking wavier and agreement you pay for damages if you do smoke in the room. My room smelled like cigarettes, there was cigarette burns in the mattress protector. Luckily we took pictures. Also when I asked for new sheets because the ones we had were stained they gave me another pair that also had stains on them. We ended up going to Target an buying new sheets. Dont waist your money on this rundown junk of a hotel. Youll be sorry.

Hickory Red Roof inn..
Property needs a big renovation for rooms and comfort..our first room was located in the second building and when we check the bed.. the bed sheet was dirty.. like someone just wiped their makeup on..main door doesn’t look strong.. We called the office to try to have the bed sheet changed but nobody answer.,so my husband decided to go there..the person ins on get tablet.. seems that she doesn’t believed my husband so she gave him a bag to come grab the sheet and take back to her…when my husband went back.. she was like..”are you sure it’s not you guys who did it” my husband was like.. “we just checked in and haven’t even slept yet”..so she moved us to another room in the first building..decent room.. but walks are thin.. and we can hear anyone walking by the door or even talking

Not recommended
Not a good area. Felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. Not a very nice hotel at all. The one staff member we saw was very friendly though.

I was traveling from NY and had to drive to Asheville for a wedding... but the woman at the front desk was kind of rude and not so welcoming at 1:30pm when I arrived and asked if I could check in early as I had to get changed. She said absolutely not - so I drove to Asheville, changed in the car. Drove back out and luckily the overnight staff member was kind and nice given the situation. I only got to sleep 3.5 hours before having to drive to CLT to fly out. When I woke up - there were little critters walking around near the bathroom... so that didn't make me happy. I guess you get what you pay for right. The bed was comfortable and they had nice pillows... so that was a plus for them.

Terrible terrible place
No view as they gave away my room before I got there. I had booked and paid online and by the time I got there they had given away my room. I was from out of town working as a nurse and had to get sleep for my next shift. The lady (if you could call her that) at the desk was extremely rude. Basically told me"Oh well, I gave your room away" When I explained I had already paid for the room she stated" well I dont have a room for you" I asked for my money to be returned immediately so I could get another room somewhere but she got her manager on the phone and manager said " just because you book and pay for a room does not guarantee you have a room" . Obviously this was the first time I had heard of that because I thought when you buy something you actually get it. FYI, place on the outside was GROSS,, dog feces in the grass in front of the office, people hanging around outside their doors smoking marijuana. Just gross.

Had to get a new key every night. Parking was ridiculous. 18 wheeler took up almost all one row of parking. Sheets were washed but all stained.had one set of towels for each room. No cleaning available.

We went to an event and due to storm they had no power. I went to check in location had stated they had just turned power on internet was down and could not check in. I requested to just cancel as they understandably had not cleaned the rooms. She said ok. The next day i received a charge on my card for room that was supposedly canceled. They refused to refund charge

It wasn’t dirty but it did have a smell and roaches I cut my trip short there. The staff was pleasant at check in but when I went back in the office to get my key recharged there were all the signs up that made me feel like it wasn’t safe
