Disappointed
Simply the most disappointing booking I’ve ever had. Mostly the fault of Hotels.com! The hotel was booked with the need for twin beds as very clearly marked, but on arrival at the hotel the room was a double room with one bed. This was completely inappropriate but the hotel had no twin rooms left so I was stuck. Hotels.com, who brokered the booking then refused to refund the cost!! After nearly an hour of wrangling over this they agreed to refund the cost of the hotel if I agreed to paying a £105 up front charge. No charge no refund!! I eventually contacted IHG hotel of whom I’m a member, and they accommodated me for a reasonable sum. I then left Amsterdam and enjoyed a perfectly relaxed weekend in Antwerp. Hotels.com should be ashamed of their customer service and you all should be very cautious about relying on them.
