Definitely NOT Pet friendly.
Be warned if you think you'll bring your pup and stay here. When we arrived and went to check-in, the desk clerk presented me with a Pet Agreement to read and sign and advised me that our dog must never be left unattended in our room. I said 'what if we want to go to breakfast?' He said the dog must never be left alone.
If they had said "Dog must be crated when left alone in the room," I would have said, "Sure. That makes sense."
If they had said "If your dog disturbs other guests, you will be asked to leave," or, "You are responsible for any damage your dog causes." Sure -- all of that is fair.
BUT -- never leave your dog alone in the room? That renders the hotel stay close to pointless.
We travel with a 13 pound bichon frise/shih-tzu mix. We bring a bed and a crate. If we are going out for a few hours, we walk him, feed him and tell him to 'go to bed.' He uses his crate a lot when in a new place because the crate is comforting and familiar to him.
If the dog can never be left alone, you can't tour a tall ship, go to a museum, or have dinner inside a nice restaurant. (No Boston restaurants allow dogs inside, and we were visiting in November -- Brrr!) One night we found a restaurant with outdoor seating and heaters and had a good meal, puppy in tow. The second night we bought frozen dinners downstairs and microwaved them.
Don't plan on visiting Boston with your dog and staying here.
