I would highly recommend this hotel and will plan to stay here again once I return to Japan. Before arriving, we had changes in our itinerary and the hotel was more than accommodating. Upon arrival the check-in process was easy (self check in) and the rooms were immaculate. We had our luggage shipped to the hotel and once it arrived, the staff left a nice note on our door letting us know they were storing it.
I met one of the front desk employees, Nicole, who I cannot praise enough. She was professional, friendly, helpful, constantly checked in on us, and spoke English which made conversing easy! She provided me with sushi recommendations (which turned out to be some of the best sushi I had in Japan) and even provided me with 3 taco recommendations. Throughout my trip, I had the chance to speak with her about our trip and she provided some insight and tips. Overall she was the best part of the hotel and was very thankful to meet her!
The hotel was clean, rooms were decently sized, and the location was optimal! The train station was less than 5 minute walk away and there were multiple convenience stores nearby. There is also and entire downtown area with restaurants and bars which I took full advantage of!
Overall out of the 4 hotels I stayed at while in Japan, I would say Sotetsu was one of my favorites. I would highly recommend staying here.
