Nice but not!
First I would like to start off that my husband and I did have a nice time. This is not the first time staying at this location. We returned because the staff is kind, the hotel itself is great (bar, pool, location). However, on this trip my husband and I did not have our children with us as we were on an anniversary trip. We booked a King "resort view" room, upon checking in we were told our room was not ready and we would have to wait but they were "upgrading" us to a fireworks view room on a high level. We waited 2 hours for our room, we understood as the hotel was BUSY. We get to our room right off the elevator which was a double queen. I immediately called and was told they oversold king rooms but they gave us the upgraded view. I was disappointed as queen beds are smaller than our bed at home but they did take care of breakfast for us and parking. She told me they could accommodate us the next day. We noticed sounds of what was like hammering, they had some construction in the parking lot so I hoped it was from that. Well when we returned from our evening out sometime past midnight the noises were still there and continued all night. We were near the elevator control room. The next morning at 7AM I went to the front desk and was told again they overbooked. I explained, the front desk person got the manager who said they would call me as soon as a king room opened up.... no one ever called. I'm grateful for the comps given but overall did not sleep and lacked follow thru
