This is not an easily accessible hotel. Steps outside, steps inside, no elevators. They do not provide a breakfast and their coffee/tea options are laughable. The rooms look like old dormitories and a window unit provides heat. Phone did not work and there was kilz thrown on the ceiling.
Having said all this, the hotel worked with me to provide a room my mom could access. The staff were incredibly helpful, courteous, and attentive. The beds/sheets were clean and soft. Shower, bathroom and towels were neat and clean. They held our luggage for free while we saw the White House.
For an economic stay made last minute, I am very pleased to have been lucky enough to find the Windsor Inn. It was not the most glamorous hotel in DC but the staff made up for all the physical faults.
