Even though it had very pretty woodwork, the service was sub par.
When we left the hotel Saturday morning to go on the scenic railroad, we put the do disturb sign sign on our door. But when we got back, they had came in and cleaned, made the bed, and changed the towels. They also took 2 bottles that we had saved as souvenirs, and apparently threw them away. When we tried to talk to the owners, he basically called us liars and said we didn't have that on our door, and told us that the other side was showing (that apparently said Room Service) and that they didn't do anything wrong. I finally stomped out of there as I could get nowhere with them. They didn't care about our opinion of our stay there, and they didn't care that their housekeepers touched and took our things.
Sorry as hell. No wonder they are listed as a 2-star hotel.
Will not be staying there again!
