Basic, Outdated Motel: ok for 1 night stay
We booked this property as a quick rest stop since we couldn’t manage the full 8-hour drive home. I didn’t thoroughly check the reviews beforehand and grew a bit concerned afterward, especially about mentions of bed bugs. Fortunately, our room was clean in that regard.
The accommodations were very basic and the motel felt outdated, which was noticeable since we usually stay in hotels. Indoor rooms were available for an additional cost. Breakfast was simple but fresh—pancakes and coffee were a solid start to the day.
The surrounding area felt somewhat sketchy at night. Border patrol and local authorities were conducting stops with search dogs, which was unsettling but also made us feel safer knowing law enforcement was present. By day, the area seemed fine.
Check-out was smooth, and the staff was friendly. Overall, it’s not a place I’d choose for an extended stay, but it served its purpose as a one-night stop.
