My recent stay at L'Hotel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe in Paris was overall an enjoyable experience. I stayed in the Prestige King Vue Eiffel room, which offered a stunning terrace view of the Eiffel Tower—a definite highlight of my trip. The location of the hotel was perfect for upscale shopping along the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, just a short walk away, which added a lot of convenience to my stay.
The hotel itself exudes 1930s Art Deco charm, with a beautifully designed restaurant and courtyard, a lavish lounge/bar, and excellent amenities including a gym and spa. The atmosphere was both elegant and inviting, making it a lovely place to retreat after a day out in the city.
However, there were a few disappointments. The bathroom in my room was notably small, which made it a bit uncomfortable and there was visible mold along the shower sweep. Additionally, the bed itself felt quite small for what was supposed to be a king-sized bed (my husband is 6'4"), which affected the overall comfort of our stay.
On the bright side, the staff were pleasant and very helpful throughout my visit, providing excellent service that made a difference in my experience.
In summary, while the hotel has a lot to offer in terms of location and style, there are a few areas where it could improve to truly meet five-star standards. It’s a solid choice for those who appreciate Art Deco design and a prime location in Paris, but be mindful of the room details if you prioritize space and comfort.
