Decent hotel for price!

The hotel is a budget-friendly place, so you can expect that it needs some renovations. Our houseman was very pleasant and helpful. The location is wonderful!

Worst desk clerk!

Worst front desk service I've ever seen. Walked up to door to check in and there was a sign saying that we had to go next door to the EconoLodge to check in, drove there and was told that was only at night and that the sign wasn't supposed to be there during the day. Drove back to Rodeway. Read sign again. Nothing about night time check in. Walked in and the desk clerk was sitting where he could see that I had already walked up. I told him about the sign and that I went to the other hotel. No apology. Just asked for my reservation name. Have me my key card and told me the room number. That was it! I asked which building it was in and he just pointed. We went to the room and there were workers inside doing renovation work! Went back and told the clerk. He gave me another room (no Apology!!). Went to that room and give minutes later a bug exterminator opened the locked door. Said he was l scheduled to spray the room but at least he was the first person to Apologize for all this nonsense! Room was crap and over priced, but kind of expected that for this Area. It was the desk clerk that made this an very frustrating stay.

Family vacation

Stayed for a family vacation. 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters. We had enough room in the 2 bedroom suite. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I don't even know where to start. The missing paint on the door and cracked peephole should have been the first indication. The room didn't even look like it was cleaned before we checked in. The couch cushions were flipped over because of the white stains (I can only guess what those where), visible fingerprintson services, the kitchen countertop was stained and had a large chipped out piece, the carpet was disgusting with white stains, no one went barefoot EVER. It was questionable if the bedding had even been changed. Horrendous isn't a strong enough word to describe the bathroom. Mold in the shower, on the shower curtain, crack in the wall, hair on the wall, dirty mirror, and a leftover hoodie on the back of the door. Only positive was the toliet paper and the towels smelled like bleach, but we still used our own. Even after I scrubbed the tub before showers, we all showered with our flip flops on. The walls were stained with dirt marks and god knows whatelse. The ac unit in the front room worked. Ac unit in the backroom not so much and had juice stains and dried gum on it. The porch area was as equally gorgeous. There was leftover trash outside, dirty old wet socks, and even throw up in the grass. Gnats in every room!! We did call and ask for new sheets, which they provided, they spelled like bleach, so we put them over top of all the beds and slept on them. If we could have found another hotel we would have left.

Horrible cleanliness

The toilet clogged numerous times and was very backed up. Everytime it was flushed other days of stuff would come up through the pipes. Shower curtain was moldy. Loose paint hanging off the walls. Had a very old older to the room. Walking barefoot or with socks on in the room your feet would turn black from the dirtiness of the carpet. Numerous burn holes in carpet. Tray that was not ours was under the couch and behind the night stand.

Needs updating

Breakfast was not what i was expecting bagels, muffins and cereal but milk left out on counter no ice or anything. The rooms really outdated, need repairs paint chipping, walls need a cleaning and new paint. Tub all scratched up, clear shower nozzle looked like it had mildew under it, tube drain rusted. When we checked the person that checked us in seemed like he was mad and didnt want ro be there.

The room wasn’t the cleanest. There was stuff on the floor behind the tv stand. The tub looks like it wasn’t clean properly. The sink and toilet got clogged while staying there. They did come fast to fix it.

Please please stay elsewhere

Pretty diabolical for them to charge over $200 a night for this horribly outdated dirty motel. Truly filthy. Horrible mold stench. Water marks all over the bathroom the blinds didn’t even fully shut so people could see right inside your room from the outside anyone could walk up and all over. Super unsafe vibes felt very uncomfortable staying here should have been a $75 a night stay.

Our stay overall was very nice. The coffee was severely weak during our first morning breakfast, but everything was much better the next day.

Don't expect much

Staff was very nice, complimentary breakfast was basic mini muffins, toast, bagels and cold cereal, coffee, tea and juice. Food station and eating area was small but clean. Pool was small but offered a lot of seating. However, the surface inside the pool was rough even the side walls, my daughter scraped her toe when she bumped into it. The family suite was spacious but there was a strong smell of urine along the walkway way to our room. Inside the room the furniture was very old , faded and peeling even the mini refrigerator. All the Lamp shades had large visible stains, lighting was very dim. Pull out sofa had what looked like dried up food spill on it that someone just flipped the cushion over instead of cleaning it. Chunky looking food stains on carpet in front of sofa. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, I could feel the old mattress springs. Pillow was very flat, with no extra ones around I had to fold it in half so not to get a crick in my neck. Dirt on the sheets I had to brush off of all of the beds including the pull out sofa. It looked like someone sat something on it that was dirty and didn't wipe it off. Bathroom was clean except the tub. It looked like a bathfitter tub that they could no longer scrub clean. It squeaked when you stepped into it. No extra towels, wash cloths or linen. Staff did provide extra towels upon request, however when booking a family suite for 4 people I at least expected 4 towels and 4 wash cloths to start off with.

Wouldn’t book here for an extended trip

While we did get fresh towels, our bed wasn’t made and the room definitely wasn’t vacuumed because our feet were covered in lint and dirt. Bathroom was dirty. Second day our keycard didn’t work and we needed to go to lobby for new ones. The gentleman at front desk was nice but otherwise the condition of the room wasn’t the cleanest.
