Worst hotel ever
1- They were having an after party at the hotel with very loud music, so we could not sleep at all at night 2 -They didn't accept credit card when we checked in, they told us to withdraw money and pay later 3- There was nobody to carry our luggage and to show us where the room was, and it was VERY far from the reception 4- There were no towels in the room, we had to go after the cleaning person to get some towels 5 - The curtains of the room are full of holes and the light passes through them 6 - The hotel is dirty 7 - No alcoholic drinks at the pool bar

Beach is close, nice pool.
Old building,needs renovation. Expedia didn't share the info that standard rooms were in different building, not the main hotel. Garden view was in reservation, dirty back work area was the reality.

Publicité mensongère par rapport à la chambre réservée. Ce n'était pas dans le superbe hotel vu en photo mais bcp plus loin à l'écart comme un vieux hotel miteux..clim et salle de bain désastreuse.Le ménage était fait tous les jours mais restait sale !!!!!!!!

Spacious Hotel with different name.
We found it difficult to find the hotel as there were no signs and the name of the hotel was not the one booked. Turns out its called Five Continents, luckily we knew what the hotel looked like from the website. Hotel was fairly old and water was cold during first showers. Hotel is very spacious but needs updating. A/C setting was very cold and not adjustable.

Fantastic Base for experiencing Abu Dhabi Culture
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the five continents. The hotel was lovely and had the feel of 'old time' wealth, which wasn't surprising as up to 10 years ago, this hotel was an actual palace. It was the perfect base to stay for travel between A dhabi and dubai (which were both about 30 minutes away in a cab). The hotel staff were amazing, friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel rooms were very large & airy, with great air conditioning (a blessing if you are travelling in high season, as temperatures here soar!). The balcony was the biggest i've seen, and was lovely to sit & watch the sun go down over the beach. Rooms were cleaned every day and tea, coffee & water replenished every day. Chef was excellent and provided a good selection and variety of buffet food, with excellent taste. (cost was excellent also :-) The hotel has its own beach, which was the ultimate way to relax on a comfy sunbed, under a parasol on the shores of the gulf, (which was like a warm bath). Pool area was also a good way to relax after a busy day at the Mall, (pool kept clean and tidy, fresh towels issued on a daily basis). Excellent cafe service from the pool area, (waiters service even on beach!). My mother and i loved it here so much, we are returning next year! To summarise, a relaxing get away in superb quiet area. Thank you five continents for making our holiday so special :))

Standard rooms are pathetic. Suites are better. It's a dry hotel, non alcoholic. It's better to brief in the description of the hotel, to avoid disappointment once we reach the hotel.

A Few Hits...Some Real Misses
Beautiful property, large room with character...huge patio...nice reception and concierge staff...pool inoperable...fitness center/sauna staff, inattentive..the sauna/facilities were filthy and outdated...broken equipment. Beach...unkept. I didn't allow my son to play out there and I had no desire to do any water sports as the area looked abandoned. This hotel looks as though it is being remodeled and is not a good reflection of the Swiss-Belhotel brand. They should advertise only the available amenities---no pool available as seen in photos and advertised as amenities. There is a chair in the pool, which leads me to believe it has been in this state for quite some time...never saw anyone working on it either. We do not smoke...if a patron smokes on the balcony, the cigarette butts should be discarded...as I did state, the concierge and reception were very nice. So were the cleaners that came around in the day. I think the big issue was that there were very few visitors, so some of the staff didn't take pride in the establishment they work for. You get what you pay for....

Gut fuer 2/3 Naechte. F&B gerade okay. Fuer Dubai Besucher ungeeignet da 50 km bis down town Dubai. Das Hotel steht in der Wueste - nicht herum ausser Sand.

All Staff very helpful and always smiling. Unfortunately a bit far from Dubai Down Town and except dessert nothing around. If you want to have it quiet after a busy day than it's perfect.

Clean hotel. Lacks basic amenities & room features
The 2 bedroom Royal Suite is massive and can fit 20-40 people. It was clean and comfortable. Cons: we pulled up to he entrance and no one greeted us - we took our own bags out of the car and put them on the trolley while the staff watched (same thing when we were leaving and struggling with our bags - no one helped). We asked 3 times for a power adapter until eventually they told us there were none available in the entire hotel. None of the phones in the suite worked so we had to keep going down to reception or use our mobiles to call the hotel's main phone line. There were only 2 towels in a suite for 5 people. We asked for more but they did not bring them. It's a dry hotel so they don't serve alcohol so didn't have a bottle opener (not their fault but just an FYI) Majority of the side lamps didn't work or had lamps missing and a lot of the power outlets didn't work. The safe was locked open and we couldn't call anyone to come and reset it. The fire alarm went off for around 45 seconds at 7.30am on New Years Day. Another point to remember is that the hotel will pre authorise your card 7 days before you are due to check in. I was not told this and they blocked my card on Christmas Eve. I had made the booking a month in advance and I had elected to pay cash on arrival. Just keep this in mind that regardless of when you make the booking and which website you make it through - they will still block your card 7 days before you arrive.
