The Inn is a lovely place for a weekend get away. My only negative is we booked because it had a restaurant and bar so we wouldn't have to venture out. When we arrived we were told those areas were closed because of a wedding. There are some nice places near by to eat but when we came back there was no parking available because it was taken up by wedding guests. A little notice of this would have been nice, when we asked we were told they didn't have our info because we booked through Expedia even though we had received a message from the Inn the day before and got one to place this review.

It is the quintessential Vermont inn. The dining experience was a delight and the full breakfast in the morning was terrific. Built in 1793 it is old and not perfect, but perfection would take away from the charm and history that make it such a great place to stay.
