The food could be improved, and the staff's service as well; they generally don't seem very happy to assist and are always seeking tips. The gym could be better equipped, the beverages of higher quality, and the entertainment options more varied and readily available. Additionally, the beach is not very attractive. Despite these issues, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Food -Two thumbs and big toes down .
The overall stay was good, however the food was horrible. The market place buffet was nasty for breakfast lunch and dinner. The papala was at best ok. The ocean restaurants was mediocre. The best restaurants on the resort was the Koi restaurant. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, although the dining experience was disappointing. The buffet restaurant offered mediocre meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. the ocean restaurant was unremarkable. The only truly exceptional dining experience on the resort was at the Koi restaurant. The Valentine’s dinner was so bad that all four courses were disguising so much so that by the time our entree’s came we were disgusted . The steak for out entree was cooked so hard and the lobster was mushy. We sent it back and left before the last course was served. The entertainment for the valentine’s dinner was the best part of the dinning experience.

Overall, hotel is OK. Our room was clean enough. Unfortunately pillows are not comfortable at all and bad was not so comfy too. No full size mirror in the room. No great service at the restaurants and in buffets. Very poor choices of meat and fish, the veggies and fruits choices are good. No activities at the beach on adults section, the entertainment was not great. You are not getting good services at the beach bar if you are not giving a tip.

Quase tudo perfeito.
Quase tudo perfeito. O que deixou a desejar foram algumas coisas, vou citar elas aqui: Primeiro os restaurantes que precisam fazer reservas, a churrascaria "BRASILERA" Algo assim, que deveria ser um rodizio, extremamente ruim, a carne passava a cada 20min, e passou apenas 3x já e perguntaram se podiam recolher a mesa. segundo, sobre a divulgação das informações, teve festa na piscina, festa do branco e não ficamos sabendo de nada disso, pois no aplicativo, mostra apenas o que vai ter no adulto only, que sinceramente só tem Karaoke. As atividades do Adults Only, são voltada praticamente para os Idosos. Fora isso. Foi quase tudo perfeito.

Birthday trip
Firstly, the resort is new and very clean very well kept. I’ve been to Punta Cana numerous times but this is the first and more than likely the last stay at The Serenade. The food was not good at all and we weren’t able to book the steak house during our 4 night stay because they were all booked and only open on Friday and Saturday. It was very clear that most of the staff did NOT want to be there. Most had bad attitudes and were not friendly especially the bartenders. They(bartenders) talked about us in front of us not realizing we understood some of what they were saying. The nightly shows/entertainment were maybe an hour long and after that, everything(the resort) was dead. I will definitely stay somewhere else next time until they can work out the kinks.

We stayed on the adult side and the property was very nice and well maintained. Pools are great, beach is beautiful. Only complaint we had was the food which is very repetitive in the buffet and by the last day we absolutely could not eat it anymore. It is damn nearly impossible to make reservations and that was the case for everyone we talked to. We were there for 5 nights and got one reservation after talking to guest service and nothing else was available even 4 days in advance. We paid to be there and shouldn’t be that hard to get food. I wouldn’t go back just because of the reservations process as there are other resorts that do walk ins FCFS basis which is much better

My wife and I stayed on the Adults only side of the resort but we had full access to the family side and amenities as well. Staff were great and friendly. They was a quiet pool and a party/activities pool and another in between. PLUS the beach. No complaints. Would come again .

This resort did not feel like a 5 start resort. Upon our arrival, we were not greeted with welcome drinks like other guests were. The guy at the front desk who assisted with our check in process did not sound professional or cordial. Our room was not properly cleaned, we found hairs in the shower, the towels and sheets had stains and the whole room just had like an old rag smell. Everyday we were constantly harassed by Xpand employees trying to sell us excursions and what sounded like a timeshare. They would wait for us outside of the buffet to chase us, we even had one guy beg us to attend a “30 min” session because if we did, he would get $50 and he really needed the money. I understand people need to make a living but this made me feel very uncomfortable. As for the food, it was the worst I ever had at an all inclusive. I don’t have big expectations when it comes to food from all inclusive hotels but this was really terrible. Everything tasted old and the employees from the live food stations looked annoyed when you would ask for food. Sadly, the whole staff at the resort lacked costumer skills.

Something , the water or food, had my partner and I feeling unwell. We had the jacuzzi on the balcony and had to request for it to get cleaned. The sheets weren’t changed, just the bed was made. We were unable to dine at a restaurant because no where had availability to make a reservation and we were there for 5days.
