"I didn’t like the faceless check in and out by monitors on a desk. Property can do with an uplift re scuff marks, scratches on walls, etc. if you like ‘ impersonal’ its fine. The location is ideal and proximity topublic transport, light rail, etc. cannot be compared."

Rydges Australia Square

Rydges Australia Square

8/10 Good
"Contactless check-in felt cold and unwelcoming. Room was very small for a premier King, but it was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Limited space for two large suitcases. Also no welcome drink provided as promised (we're Rydges card members). Tv had no streaming only guest app login only, despite their home page advertising inhouse movies. Not even the maintenance man knew about the latter. Front desk staff were not very friendly or helpful when we approached them about queries. Cocktail bar was closed on Saturday night (we stayed Thurs - Mon). The best thing about the hotel was it's close proximity to all the tourist spots, being walkable distances and close to transport. Our room view was bleak (a building directly across and street below). Maybe show this on the advertised photos? Gym facilities were apparently a shared use of an "Anytime Fitness" gym just around the corner. We never found this gym. Staff didn't ask how our stay was when we checked out, instead just demanded our room number, and that was it. The shower door in our bathroom squeaked every time you opened and closed it. The housekeeping was very good. Overall I was disappointed with this hotel experience. I probably wouldn't stay here in future, despite it's fantastic location."

"Handy location close to China town, and Darling Harbour. Whilst rooms were clean the hallway and areas outside of lifts didn’t look like they had been vacuumed or dusted for a while. Water jugs and water stations are a great idea. Bar area was vey nice and great value happy hour prices. For the amount we paid for this hotel I was somewhat disappointed as it was nothing special. For those interested in exploring Sydney's rich history and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is ideal. This time frame allows you to visit attractions such as the port, opera, shopping precincts, gardens, distinctive architecture, art galleries, ferry routes, dining spots, museums, and theatres, ensuring an immersive experience steeped in the city's heritage and culture.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: You may discover great savings on Sydney hotels by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where discounted hotel deals are occasionally available. 3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors including the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Sydney hotel. For those seeking unique accommodations, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised experience and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will advise you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more favourable deal.
